Is Omen tameable?

I don't think they trucked him out on beta or PTR.

I wouldn't have thought so though since he is a world boss, who would be 3 levels higher than the level cap, and you can only tame creatures lower level than you.

Good point, Didn't think about the level cap.

Although th elevel only seems to work for mechanics, isn't he really a lvl 1?

No. Skull bosses are technically your level +3. Not quite the same as a level 70 when you're level 50.

But if you really want to tame a corehound that looks like Omen, tame The Kurken.

Tamed Kurken last night. The look is nice, and made it worth riding the alliance boat to get him.

He's a boss, so yes, unlikely to work.

(If you're really, really curious about whether a boss-level Core Hound is tameable, though, you can check The Beast? I'm a little curious myself, since he's in a level 60 instance...)

edit--The Beast is marked Tameable, no idea if you can actually tame him or not though.

Just Tamed the Kurken, he's bugged to hell, if I'm further than 20 yards from my target and I send him in, he takes tiny steps and keeps trying to cast fire breath until he gets close enough.

Useless.

As far as I know, chimeras, core hounds and worms all act like that. They inch in, trying to use their ranged attack, then they run in to go melee.

I believe, from watching BRKs recent movies that the range bug is fixed in the latest beta patch
