Gearing Ideas as concerned with the new patch for prot.Follow

Howdy Yall!
Just have a question/idea as far as the possibility of some new gearing ideas as concerned with the new patch.
Considering how our AP directly affects us more than it used to, would it be more viable to go with a High DPS, High AP weapon with the 20 STR enchant on it VS Something like the suneater or the Kings defender?

My Specific idea goes into the realm of: Blade of Seperation vs. The Suneater.
Now that Dodge isn't such a huge factor (Sitting at nearly 70% D/B/P non-raid geared)
would it be more viable for sheer burst threat to use the Badge dagger (Oh noez I went there) vs the sun eater? You gain more stam from the blade of seperation, Crit and AP (Both help out Shield Slam/revenge/devastate/HS/cleave/Shockwave) Then tack on the PERMANENT 20STR enchant which helps out SS and shield block and shockwave. Would that be a better option, considering youre at 490 def rating already, than the sun eater or defender?
I know its a damn dagger, and were not rogues, but hell, sword and board and the others just require a 1H Melee weapon...
