i heard that they took away the shadow bolt thing that goes in different directions. im a lvl 70 demon lock, with 4 basic abilities. Charge, shadow strike thing, immolation, and taunt. so wheres the shadow bolt? do i get it between 70 and 80? are we even getting other talents in meta?

no aoe shadowbolt. you instead get to have access to all your normal abilities and pet while in demon form.

No Volley makes me a sad panda. Now it's basically a 20% damage increase on a cooldown.

I really see no use for this talent anywhere. PvP, perhaps? I guess the Immolation Aura would be pretty sweet for a quick AOE thing. I don't know why we got Shadow Cleave and the mass taunt, though. This spell is useless in an instance or something like that. The short duration and lack of proper AOE means you'll pull aggro, lose Meta and die a horrible death.

I'm respeccing Affliction.

in my pvp gear (which is pretty crap btw), i go up to 18k armor (about 60% damage reduction to melee), mixed with 6% effectively resiliance for 30seconds, 50% reduction to pretty much all CC and actually fairly good abilities, it does have a good purpose in pvp.. sadly until lvl.80 you won't see it at its full extent as currently at 70, everyone can now nuke MASSIVELY hard, so all they do is wait for it to wear off and then burst you down. so currently destro is supposedly giving the best pvp utility.. lol

My lock is currently level 64 and using demo as leveling spec. I picked up metamorphsis to try it out. After a night of using it I found no real benefit in pve and though it is early days, I am viewing it more as a pvp trinket. There is some interesting discussion on this over in the warlock den and on Eletist Jerks forums.

for solo pve I've noticed a big difference from having metamorph, brilliant to save yourself. gonna go solo ony soon once the reset has cleared, felguard tanking spec ftw.

That is what I picked meta up for increased survivability. What i have found so far is fel synergy heals my felgaurd so well i have not had any "wetpants" moments, so have only used metamorphsis to see what i can do with it. Going to stick with it till 70 as am too tight to pay for respec and so will see how useful it is in the fairness of time. Would be interested in seeing your talent build Jenovaomega.
