I have encountered this problem, but i think a smart approach to any upgrade this size is to remove (backup) your wtf and interface folders completely. Run the game and let the game recreate the folders. Then start adding new releases of your addons 1 by 1 or at least slowly.

I have also noticed that even though you may have deleted your addons, leaving the WTF and Interface folders (with default blizzard folders) could still generate some errors or strange behaviour. So it has to be a full delete of the two of them...

I did the delete all suggestion and still have trouble with Outfitter/ItemRack, Questhelper, Auctioneer and a few others.

Checked the Outfitter thing out and it seems other people are also having the same issue. I am just trying to be patient.

This problem plus work being slow may cause me to learn Lua.

Gonna backup my macros and Dominos settings tonight. Delete everything again in WTF and AddOns, drink more wine and sleep on it.

Try again after work. If I still have troubles it will be a combination of learning Lua and patience.

The Outfitter thing is traumatizing, especially since ItemRack also wouldn't work for me. Bah humbug, I have folders to delete, wine to drink and a priest to macro and test out.

I got way to used to Outfitter as a druid. Especially now that I want to easily be able to change gear around and test things out.

I was having the chat problem and I know of a few others as well.

I renamed my interface & wtf folders and re-installed my mods and it fixed the chat issue. Outfitter seems to be working for me but I still have to finish re-making all my outfits as nuking the folders & re-installing lost them all. So much pain to go through with 60 70's, 2 60's & a level 49. Learning all the new talents & abilities, setting up all their mods again, fixing all macros, leveling inscription - it has been 2 days and I still haven't actually spent more than about 30 mins actually "playing"

One of the addons I liked alot was Onebag and Onebank, more so because I liked the way it looked and it was easier to open all bags. After the patch came out, I couldnt right click anything in my bags or move anything around or even sell or destroy anything so I guess the two addons werent compatable with the patch Im guessing this because when I would open my Addon menu it was written in red. I simply disabled the Addon and went from there later I turned it back on and it was working just fine.

I ended up making a copy of all my addons in a separate folder, deleting all of the originals, then the WTF files and then going to Curse's 3.0 + page and getting the ones I knew I needed. Then I downloaded WoWMatrix and used that to install the other addons I wanted, based off the last time it was updated (before or after patch). So far it's working great. I've ended up getting most of my addons back up and I just run WoWMatrix before I log in each day to get the latest updates.
