What has blizzard done. I'm confused all over again. I'm reading like crazy and everyone is talking raiding builds. I'm 67 about to ding 68 and was going to link my armory but its the old one. I'm following Aethians 51/10 build but his pet build is for devilsaur and not a cat. I'm looking for a solo build for me and my cat. Is 51/10 the new cookie cutter build?

When you're leveling, just play around and experiment. Try different specs and see what works. There isn't really a cookie cutter spec until end game, which is now 80. Also, Things will probably change a bit yet so don't get too comfortable.

|There is no cookie cutter, the current taletnt trees are wonderful in that they force the hunter to actually think. Current gear, stats, play style all will effect how each hunter has to to spec. Hunters now have to decide what is important to them. |I am loving it!

I played with my hunter yesterday and the 51/10 BM build seems to work for me. I kill faster now. Just the whole talent pet thing. I don't know if mines specced right but we'll see.

If I am not mistaken, the talent builds for a cat and a devilsaur can be the same since they are in the same talent tree.

The one that would not match up in aethien's post is the ravager because those are in a different tree.

Don't worry, there will be cookie cutter specs, it's just that with the current state of flux and testing we don't know exactly how all the talents will play out. I have a feeling that they might change a bit with gear this time around, but it'll be minor changes.

The pet spec in aethians post has swoop. Cat does not. Everything else i've done. Question is why no armor or stam for pet. Would armor be usefull when soloing. I love the resistances to arcane, fire ect. Keeps pet alive alot longer :D

Well, luckily, Blizzard has identified the problem of "cookie cutter" builds and have addressed it. They have said that their ultimate goal for these changes was to make everything a little more viable.

There will be a build that eventually be agreed to be the #1 DPS build, but there will be several other viable builds, too.

Can't wait. Thinking of trying the 50/11/0 but 4 extra pet points. >< decisions...decisions.
