Prowl is driving me crazy. Every time that I log, zone or dismount my cat goes stealth. Is this a bug? Do I really have to turn it of in his spellbook every time? I do not have it in his auto bar. I am sure there has to be something im doing wrong.

On a seperate note, thanks to all of you for the threads. I cant tell you how much I like to read them.

its a bug where sometimes auto-cast abilities re-enable themselves. blizz is looking into it, so just pop in the spellbook and disable it, or put it on your bar. some people think if its on your bar it gets saved.

Right click it so it is no longer on auto-cast.

Then, if the cat is already stealthed, use it once to bring him out of stealth (don't put it on auto-run again). He should stay unstealthed forever now, or until you activate the ability manually.

I am sure it is a bug , every time i flew or dismounted or when i changed zones my cat went into stealth , no real biggie though as a simple turn off as i have now put the stealth in the action bar stops it. At least cower stays off for me , now that could get annoying.

Whenever they do a big content patch there is always a few problems , for me it is also like it dislikes some of my characters as i was trying a few out and some just could not seem to stay logged in.

Pulling a pet ability off the bar doesnt always disable it.

It took me a long time to figure this out with growl. when I would do an instance, it kept growling even though I had pulled it off bar.

For the longest time I would run instances without a pet because I couldnt get it to stop using growl.

Right-clicking on it to make sure it's no longer lit up is the only surefire way to turn it off.

Thanks for the advice. I have the auto cast off. The problem is I need to turn the auto cast off each and every time that I dismount, zone or log on. I have tried turning the auto cast off from both the auto bar and the spellbook. If nobody else is having the problem I will assume that it is a bug at this point. My realm, Arygos, does seem to be on and off line more then most so hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Thanks again.

Been happening to me too. I turned it off and took it off the bar. Logged in later to find prowl had been reenabled. I'm lazy though and simply let him prowl and eventually fall so far back he despawns. Doesn't fix the problem though :p

Same as me. Though I'm beginning to get used to prowl. Cower I keep off. Prowl is pretty usefull at times. Especially sneaking past mobs to get to the one you want without pulling major aggro. If so just pull the extra and freeze it :D

I use my cat for a raid pet, so Prowl isn't so bad for me. The raid never moves forward at such a pace that the prowled cat cannot catch up. A prowled cat is less likely to pull accidental aggro if it paths funny. The damage bonus for the first swing of every fight can't hurt, either.

Soloing is a different matter, and I have from time to time just turned Prowl off, rather than deal with the headaches. I like Gorilladin soloing better, anyway.
