Is it possible to go bm,get an exotic pet then respec to mm? Would you lose your pet or not be able to use it?
you see,i heard that we can have a standby spec sometime after the expansion.

exotic pets can only be used as BM , as long as the pet is in the stables you will not lose it , it just means you can no longer get it out without a respec back to BM.
If you respecced to MM, you could still technically keep the exotic pets (say in the stable) but you could no longer use them as your active pet. You would need to go back to the BM tree and have the Beast Mastery talent in order to use an exotic pet. I haven't tried respeccing to MM while an exotic pet was out of the stable but simply dismissed. So, I'm not sure if you lose that pet or if it automatically goes to the stable or what.
Your pet gets dismissed when you respec. If it's an exotic and you're no longer BM, you get a warning that you can't control your pet for trying to call it.
