So, what do you guys thing of the new patch?

I can't play tell this weekend and its kinda eating at me.

Is it a pro or con for are beloved mage's?

Hopefuly they don't start nerfing everyone tell I get a chance to play. XD

That could be a good thing or a bad thing in the near future. Anyway thanks for the information.

Having any trouble getting used to Hot Streak procs? I know I kept missing em with the little soloing I did(though I'm also running on a major sleep deficit at the moment so that could be ************ work).

I did mean Brain Freeze. They aren't always up together, but it did happened a few times. I guess my word "usually" was an exaggeration in excitement. Now, I haven't played my mage a whole bunch since the patch - maybe for like 30 mins or so after I got mu UI figured out. So my data shouldn't be considered "statistically valid" or anything like that. It was just a fun experience. I may have just had some lucky procs.

It is annoying though when you get a Frostbite proc, and Fingers pops up (or just popped up on the previous cast). Feels like a wasted proc. But I'm NOT complaining :)

I'm 0/50/11 right now and I am loving it. Burnout procs alot and I love the instant Pyro. I got the Penquin, Slowfall, Evocation, and Scorch glyphs, which are fun. Together with my new hairstyle, I feel like a new mage. After getting over the UI problems I had, I am feeling very good about the patch.

I feel like my mage has come into her own and is more of a cannon than glass. :) Oh, I die veyrvery quickly in bg, IF people manage to get close to me, but even if they do, the way I'm spec'd, sometimes, if I get pilejumped, everyone is FN'd and I blink and can get out and blast away for a few seconds. However, the way that everyone is pilejumping in on top of each other, I've found that it's easier for me to actually play like a mage in the bgs, in that, if I get a spot a lil way away from the action, I can sit there and shatter combo the hell out of a buncha people pretty quickly, and they die before they get to me. I have seen people say "<3 mages" several times in /bg, and THAT is unusual. It's really a whole new game. I may respec today to get the Brain Freeze, though. :)

PVE is wow. Granted, I just really got some halfway decent gear/gems/etc, but the mobs feel like buttah. Did my first heroic ever last night, and we wiped a few times because I guess the badasses in my group had just been through kara and it was cake, so there was a lot of carelessness, but, really, H SP felt easier to me than most instances have been feeling lately. I haven't really played around w/ aoe grinding yet, but I was out near Manaforge B'nanana or whatever last nite helping a friend level real fast and I saw a frostie grinding. He rode around and took down about 40 of those sunfury geologists, etc in probably less than a minute. It was beautiful.

And, besides the occasional rogue/ret pally combo we encounter on the Isle, my lil group of clothies who go dailying together every day do NOT get pwnt anymore. We're fine against most any group of the same number as us. (2 frosties, a lock and a shammy, w/ his omgwolves!)

The emp WE is just awesome, and I find that it lasts longer than I need it to over half the time. For the first time, I'm kind of itching to spec fire, but, but, what about my WE??? I dunno. :)

I have the penguin glyph and I, and everyone else loves it. The sound it makes is cute hehe. (BTW, the sound of FoF is cool, too!) I also got the evocation glyph and it's just perfect. I forgot which others I got lol.

Anyway, I don't feel as small as I've been feeling since I hit 70.
