I was just wondering, have any of you guys tried out full feral after the patch. What do you think? Do you wish you still had all of the resto feral talents?

I have not tried it. Ultimately the benefit of Furor and Omen of Clarity were too much for me to give up. However, I will say, a full dps spec is pretty nice. Forgoing some previously standard feral tanking talents (like Thick Hide) and skipping all the new tanking talents (Survival Instincts, Natural Reaction, Protector of the Pack, King of the Jungle) I was able to put enough points to get as far as 2 of 5 into Rend and Tear. I also skipped the modified Primal Tenacity talent as reduction of "duration" of fear and reduction of damage dealt when stunned just really wasn't all that worth the 3 points as opposed to the previous design of the talent which often procced a full resist of fear quite often.

But you know, I'd love to also hear feedback from other people regarding skipping the resto talents altogether.

Berserk > OoC in my book. I spec'd for Furor/Naturalist/OoC off the bat and soon regretted it because I was missing out on a "fun" new talent. I had no idea HOW fun, though...Berserk is icing on the Mangle cake. And it's real sweet sugary icing too, not that fake crap that isn't sweet. With a 3-minute cooldown it lets you basically spam your special attacks for 15 seconds every couple fights -- absolutely wicked. And in PvP a talent-based fear break on top of my trinket is muy muy cool. OoC is at the top of the list for "when I hit 71" but for now Berserk delivers many more smiles than OoC ever has.

I like Primal Tenacity, too. For PvP anyway. Cutting 30% off the length of every fear and cutting the damage those stunlocking rogues throw around by 30% are both goodness in my book.

Furor is mandatory for any Feral build, I'd say. 10% damage boost is a must, too, but I passed on it for now (today anyway) just to grab some of the new talents in Feral to see how I like 'em. That's all just me, though, I say spend the gold to try different specs and find what YOU like.

For Kitty DPS, Omen of Clarity is much better than Beserk. For tanking, Beserk is much better than Omen of Clarity.

Furor is not worth as much as it used to be. With the 1.5 sec global cooldown after shifting, 4/5 furor will give you 95 energy by the time you can start attacking. Many people are giving the opinion (including myself) that 3/5 Furor & 2/2 Imp.MotW is probably a very good option now (maybe not so much if you are mainly raiding and someone else has it). For tanking at the start of the fight, you can always shift in and out of bear till you get the proc (60% chance with 3/5 furor) or just enrage to get your rage.

Naturalist of course is a fantastic talent for both Kitty & Bear. How good it is has often been overlooked because it has been a talent required to get OOC, but 10% extra damage is amazing for 5 points - especially that low in the tree.

My opinion is that unless you are only ever going to tank, then at least the 10 points in resto is worthwhile (doesn't matter whether you go 3,4 or 5 into furor). The OOC/Beserk decision comes down to whether you tank or DPS more and also whether you want to muck around with Beserk seeing it is new.

I agree with RareBeast regarding the 2/2 IMotW and 3/5 Furor. I mostly tank and even for cat form would end up giving 75 energy by the time the GCD is open. Naturalist is still a great investment. OoC is very cat and Berserk is bear.

Really like Berserk. It is a go ******* on mobs button. Good fun. Still learning when to pop and save it as it does break fear. But it is so much fun to just hit the button and Mangle till bodies are everywhere.
