SoComm is not as good as you think.Follow

basicly, with the Glyph you would expect SoComm to match SoB in damage, at least just looking at the numbers at face value.
50% proc for SoComm
100% for SoB but half the damage as SoComm.

with the new changes, seals proc off of CS and DS now. but there is a 1 second hidden CD on SoComm ive found, i cannot get that seal to double proc at all. where as SoB procs 100% of the time on every attack regardless.

so my opening attack with seal of blood ends up the same damage as one with SoComm with a proc. only there is a chance that SoComm doesnt. im finding that im using SoB in even pvp now. as it has the same burst as SoComm, but more reliable and higher overall DPS as well. heals from DS and AoW seems to make up for it plenty atm.

anyone else come to the same conclussion? at the moment i dont have the glyph yet for SoComm as my server is being stupid with prices.

when i do get it, and the CS glyph. ill kill around some more and see if i still dont like SoComm.

Still waiting for Toj to post his data with the SoC glyph.

read the post, but he hasnt posted the data with using the CS or DS either, which is most important if there is a hidden CD.

I did several tests on the lvl 70 target dummys with recount running to try and get a handle on which seal was going to be better. Even with the SoC glyph SoM did slightly better over 4min fights than SoC. Did 12 tests, 6 only using the SoC/SoM and just judging every cd and 6 using a max dps rotation(cs, ds, judge, consecration) where DS and consecration hit both targets.

The tests with only judgements were nearly identical with SoM dam being significantly higher than SoC but judgement dam for SoC was usually higher than the JoM dam. Averaging the tests SoM/JoM won out by a very small margin.

The max dps tests SoM won by larger margins, but JoM still lagged behind JoComm, but for some reason the total dps #s always favored the SoC tests. Sometimes by as much as 90dps that was entirely due to more white and DS crits. SoC tests averaged 1810dps while SoM averaged 1780dps.

My pally has nearly 15% passive haste so i assumed SoM would be significantly more dps, but with the glyph it seems the #s are very close and if you aren't running that much haste SoC may very well win out.

The 1sec hidden cd is something i didn't think about, since your autoswings will line up with your instants from time to time i'm guessing 1/3-1/2 of your instant strikes have 0 chance of proccing SoC.

In kara last night I ran SoC for the first half and SoB for the second. My dps with SoB increased by almost 200. JoC was critting for around 2.8-3.4k and JoB critting for 3.5-4.5k.

I killed myself using seal of blood on the training dummies in Org.....

The insane burst capability of Blood/the Martyr reflects far too much damage to be used in pvp unfortunately. You can be hit back for over 1k if a Blood judgement crits.

Very true - SoC is definitely still the PvP seal.

SoB outdid Seal of Corruption and SoC though in PvE dps. Although note to self don't use SoB on prince >.>
Highest damage I took from SoB was 1.6k on Netherspite. Can't wait to try this stuff out in real raids.
