SO ...

Has anyone with 51 points in BM spec tried to tame a Devilsaur/ Core hound yet?

Nothing like hunting with a T - Rex whose lacking in people skills......just my thoughts.

I respec'd back to BM and headed off to Un'goro to tame one. After riding around longer than the flight, I finally found a 'regular' one and tamed it. Holy shrinkage batman!
I wandered around with the new pet for awhile, the whole time being distracted by its ugly stuttering walk animation. I then stumbled into the Silithid hive, abandoned the devilsaur, and tamed a reaver. They look pretty cool, and remained quite large as well.
Some guild members wanted to get the Kurken from Azuremyst, so that was the next destination.
So far so good, I re-named her 'Sophie' after an old dog I used to have, I think shes a keeper.
They are really noisy the way they stomp around, shaking everything.

I got the white Dino fron Un'goro and I love it. Idk maybe its me, but I dont mind the walk motion. I also dont mind the shrikage. I'd get pissed if all I could see is its ankles. Gotta say I love ferocity tho. Didn't bring food, sent it to attack a couple of mobs with bloodthirst and was happy in 3 fights also monsterous bite seems strong but I'll have to wait and see as soon as I get back home.

YES!!!!

Snuck in to Ungoro and got mine in "godzilla" black! I wanted him to be user friendly so i named him Barney.

He did some massive shrinkage..i was hoping he wouldnt shrink so much, but what the heck.

He does have a bit of a gimp to him...haven't played with talents yet....but he does look mean.

Might test him out in BG's tonight...

The Devilsaurs seem to be quite nice IMO. I wish their jump animation worked. The swimming animation is amusing to me...I'm not sure why. It's sort of a "doggy paddle" with teeny tiny forearms.

The first time I experienced the ground shaking effect from the Core Hounds I was in Orgrimmar and thought those Troggs in RFC were on the attack and brought friends. lol.

I've tried them at lvl 65, haven't got 1 to 70 yet. Their DPS seems suitable for their lvl. I heard they are the best DPS pet, which is hard to believe because my core hound is breaking 400 dps when i hover over it, so I'm eager to train a devilsaur to 70, they look better than raptors and stomp cooly.

I decided to go with the baby frost core hound that's found on the Dranarie newby island - same as the others just a different color and a bit rarer - was rather surprised that the name Cerberus hadn't been taken yet.

Here's a thought - anyone try to tame the bear mounts that are in ZG yet?

Pet names don't have to be unique. The ZG mounts aren't tamable, even when their rider dismounts.
