Raiding, since that's what most people are talking about/worried about, tanks should already know how to handle multi-mob/multi-tank situations, so I don't see where "holding up the raid" would be an issue. I'd also hope that players are disciplined enough by the time you get into a raid scenario, or again, I don't see a Glyph as being something that can fix the issue.
Now if in Wrath we start to see a lot of encounters where Avenger's Shield causes problems, I'd happily change my tune on this Glyph and give it a go :) Right now from all the content that I have tanked I do not see this Glyph as being necessary in many, if any at all, situations when you take into consideration that you would need to have it on the entire raid (or cause long pauses so you can find a Lexicon). There's tactics that tanks should have learned leveling up and going through new content that are quite effective for handling pulls in which you have to be careful of CC (remember when AS hit CCd targets?) or that you wanted multiple tanks.

Loving this thread, but I have to say, a lot of it is blah blah.
AS is a great tool. But if most of us hadn't noticed, I'm out tsp crit Mages. At this point I'm all for AS Glyph. It's a great way to MT and mulit mob pulls? Well, you get one you'll get 3. TPS build is so easy, HoRigh, Con, Judges, so many options to gain on the skull and x. Your job is skull and x? We are getting a shiled bash that is going to be great! AS skull, they come to you, Shield Bash X and follow your rotation. IMO AS is pertty much a must as a Pally tank, 5 mans or raids. Blizz did a great job in opening up our options as MT and OT.

What's got me is the lack of good Minor Glyphs for Pally tanks. I'm still empty on those. Nothing really shines, so much so that I'm ready to chat with Blizz about this. Hoping that with WotLK we get something that will pull us into the spotlight (even if you use all 5 to combo us there). The Blessing ones are ok, but how about one for Sant? Or another charge on HS? LoH is cool, but I mostly use it on myself...
