Respecced yestarday, and I loooove feral charge for cat. Didn't have alot of time so I just jumped into an AV to try out the new toys and finally I feel like a cat. Just the charge animation made me smile, jumped into the back lines when the other team was playing turtle and had fun decimating the clothies. Beserk could have its own thread so I'll let someone else do that, but damn!!! Can't wait to get the last 10 talent points.
In addition to the awesome feral charge move/animation, I myself noticed a change that was supposedly made a long time ago. A few patches ago they said "the pounce animation has been fixed" but I didn't notice a change. Now when I pounce my cat really pounces. Anybody else notice that, or was my UI messed up and not showing something that was indeed in the game?
I was really surprised to find out that catcharge didn't break stealth. Not sure if it's by design or a bug, but either way I definitely like my invisible rocket kitty, I had more fun in WSG tonight than ever before.
Cat form was killing extra fast for me as well. The charge seemed to miss a few times but seeing kitty fly through the air to pwn face was cool.
The craziest part was I was messing around with gear and killed stuff faster half naked then before the patch.

So when would you use feral charge instead of pounce, or vice-versa?
Feral charge has minimum range. Pounce the opposite. You need to be close to Pounce and far to Charge.
Pounce is from stealth as well. Feral charge has a bad *** animation even if the few times I tried it I missed the mob.

I forgot about the minimum range for charge. I'm fond of the pounce, mangle, shred opener for PvE so charge gives me other options.
On a loosely related topic, do you know if 3 sec is sufficient time to mangle and shred twice if OoC kicks in or do I need points in Brutal Impact. I had BI up until this patch and am trying to decide if I really need it as I put together my new PvE (solo) spec.

You make a point to say that Pounce works from stealth which implies that Feral Charge doesn't. But not only does Feral Charge work from stealth, it doesn't BREAK it. So you can Feral Charge from way downtown, and it lines you up behind them so you can Pounce or Ravage. Friggin' awesome.
GCD still triggers on OoC procs, if I recall. So no, 3 seconds will be not enough time.
BI has a spell interrupt now so I am taking it where as before I never had it. At the same time I am without OoC. I have to learn to play again. It will be fun.
Going to actually do dailies for money as I can see me respecing fairly often over the next month and a half or so. Plus the dailies will be a nice test of how various specs work.

i dunno about anyone else, but ive ALWAYS felt like a feline on my druid. then again, i dont think anyone else goes out of there way to pee on other peoples beds like i do.
