Well, I went ahead a spec'd Bacon (51/5/5). Unfortunately, with all the server/addon issues, I wasn't able to run an instance. But, on a good note, my heals were much bigger than before. Sweet!!!

So instead, I went to do dailies. All I can say is Holy Gugga Bugga!!!! Mobs die way too fast now. My DPS just about tripled. With Holy Shock on a 6s CD, and it CRANKS out damage. I would crit for around 4k. Plus, Hammer of Wrath active at 35% (nowhere near Holy Shock damage, but still a cool instant attack). PLUS - my mana never dipped below 90%. I never even had to sit down to drink. Not at all. Not once during the entire IoQD circuit. It was insanely awesome!!

Oh, and the new Seal/Judgment system is phenomenal. It makes things so friggin easy mode :)

I can't even imagine how awesome Ret is.

Did some dailies this morning and it was pretty insane, 2.8k Holy Shock crits are nice, seals with 2 min timer and not needing to reapply after judgements is nicer. Tore through the dailies and never went below 80% mana.

Couldn't get on my main server until late last night (around midnight), so I logged on to a carebear server and started a new Paladin. Levelled from 1-10 in no time at all, and I never sat down to eat or drink even once. Could take on 3-4 mobs at my level even as a level 7 or 8 and still didn't have to sit down to eat or drink after those fights.

Got up early this morning on my main (level 70 Prot) and did a few of the outlands dailies. Got through several without even paying attention at all. The one thing I did note is that Seal of Vengance is probably now the tanking seal of choice with all of the changes they made to seals and judgements. 5-stacks almost instantly and you can either judge light or wisdom depending on whether you need health or mana and no need to re-seal until your 2 minutes is up.

I thought adjusting to the new talents as a tank was going to take a while, but it took maybe 5 seconds once I had my hotkeys set up the way I wanted.

Going to try Karazhan tonight... after the raid nerfage I have a feeling it will be quick and painless for the most part. With all of the changes I have a feeling seeing ZA, Gruul's, Mag's, and even SSC before WOTLK comes out is actually going to be possible now, which will be nice for me since I have never seen any of those!

I completely agree about being able to do more damage (uh, much more, I can burst down mobs?!), better healing and better mana conservation while doing the daily quests on the Isle.

I am not great authority on pally builds; I've only ever used other's ideas when it came to builds but I haven't found any current Holy Pally builds out there when I wanted needed to respec last night. I also went 51/5/5 and I plan to use it mostly for Pvp but will also raid with it until the xpac. Might have to respec for Holy leveling, but if I'm rolling with my DPS guildmates, might not need to.

Please let me (and the rest of us newly born Shockadins out there) know what you think: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/paladin/talents2.html?tal=503521503001300531025010511400000000000000000000000050000000000000000000000000

I haven't been able to try out soloing yet, but I'm looking forward to it now.

As much as I hated to, I had to pass up 5 points in prot for Kings, so I could get more points in the Ret tree. 5% crit from 5/5 Conviction and 3% crit from 3/3 Sanctified Seals just seems too good to pass up.

Yeah, it took me a while to do mine too. I guess my curiosity of Bacon got the best of me. :) Can't get Conviction and Bacon at lvl 70 :(

Confirm/Deny

Most 80 holy builds do not actually include BoK, therefore raids with only holy-specced paladins will not be able to have it.

This is what I was seeing on the oboards. PVE Holy did not have BoK.

Correct. Most lvl 80 builds don't have BoK. Once I hit lvl 71, I will also spec out of BoK (if the talent trees stay the way they are) :)

However, until then, I'll hang onto it for fun.
