I was thinking I would try something similar. As I like to PVP in BG's, call me masochistic if you like, I think I will pull the 2 points from Imp WF totem or from Concussion and put them into Guardian Totems, and another 2 points from concussion and put them into Earthen Power. It should look like this. I hope this link works.
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/shaman/talents2.html?tal=050000000000000000000000305052031050213553113100105100000000000000000000000000

I don't know if the snare removal from Earthen Power will be worth the points, or if it will be just as useless as the reduction in the duration of movement slowing effects that toughness provides. I specced for toughness when this first came out and found it to be completely useless.
I wonder if Earthen Power will even be desireable to me as the Spirit Wolves will allow freedom from movement impairing effects twice during the 45 seconds they are out will be available not to mention the sexy bonuse to str and agi that the SoE totem will provide or the necissity of the tremor totem to removing fear.
There's always re-speccing after I find out what works for me.

Ok, I see that my link didn't work right. What I did was remove 4 points from concussion and put them into 2/2 Guardian Totems and 2/2 Earthen Power.

I'm trying this spec out due to the shaman changes.And/Or this!
This might be kinda nice too.

I'm "glad" (sarcastic skill increased) blizz unintentionally gave my favorite class, "flexability" and "balance" in perspective to other classes.

Kinda my take on the new shaman talents and updates!

The rogue side of the forums have some pretty awesome suggestions on builds for 3.02 but I am not seeing a lot of nice shammie builds kicking around from people's experiences so far. I was doing a nice Enh build that I was enjoying before the update came out, but now I don't know where to go that might help with the whole shammie doing nice damage in a run type thing. Are we useless now in 3.02? Is that why there are no good builds kicking around for dps style running? Hoping people can help with an Enh build that can smack some elite guys around and help a party/raid out at the same time and still come out looking semi classy. lol. Before the update I did some pretty nasty things in a run, just lost as to how to keep things going the same with the update, or even if it is remotely possible.

You sound like you're looking for a PvE build, Keitan, in which case, if it were me, I would start out experimenting with a build like so.

You stay classy, Shaman.

Cool. I will try that. What is the difference between 1 and 5 points in maelstrom weapon though? Says same thing with all 5 points. Seems like a waste of 4 points. ALso is feral spirits cool?

I think that's a bug...it should be 100% for 5/5.

I only used feral spirits a few times in beta and they were pretty cool...I didn't use any addons in beta so I don't know about how much damage they do, but I've heard they are OP right now (don't tell blizz)

Edit: i'm wrong on the maelstrom...20% is right (4,8,12,16,20%) (stacks up to five times for instant cast)

Regardless of whether or not Feral Spirits is cool (bloody awesome, if you're curious), you're going to want 5/5 Maelstrom Weapon for PvE anyways, and you'd hard pressed to find a bigger DPS increase for a single point than what you could get by just taking Feral Spirits afterwards. Feral Spirits is the ability Enhancers are going to be using from now on when party/raid leaders call for cooldowns and/or a fast burn-down.

Well I was seriously considering making a return for Wrath, but after reading this thread I'm not so sure, I might just stay at home and cry. I really couldn't handle another whole expansion with blizz refusing to make us viable.

Well, now that hit and crit work across the board, I see a lot of use going into previously crappy talents like Elemental Devastation and Elemental Focus for Enhance Shaman.

Here's the build I'm gonna use

like it or leave it http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/shaman/talents2.html?tal=053035100000000000000000005052331050013553113100105100000000000000000000000000

I did H MgT last night. I would link my crappy gear(yay for still wearing hunter gear when patch hit <3 agil)/ build but wowarmory for some reason hasn't updated my shaman like it has my druid. Anyway...

I did 851.6dps average for the entire run per recount.

I was using WF(slow)/WF(slow), SS, Lava Lash, ES(or FireS/ES for bosses) and CL when 5 point Maelstrom was up. Also popped Feral spirits and Fire Ele/Earth Ele on every boss fight. ( Feral Spirits and Ele can be up at the same time.)

I was topping 1k dps on boss fights.

Before I had to kill sparks, my dps was averaging over 900.

The spec I went with was pretty much the one I posted at the top of this thread.

I think we're viable at least for enhance. Can't vouch for Elemental.

Of course this doesn't mean we won't scale horribly as we level.

It's fun now though :P

Yeah i was gonna spec for Imp lightning shield and Static shock with imp stormstrike, but it just doesnt seem worth it. with 6% chance to proc a shield orb, it really doesnt happen often enough, and im finding it hard to get through all 4 SS charges while soloing

BTW Paracleets, i just noticed your location! <3 Brian Jacques, read the whole series many times over.

doesn't static shock up the count for lightning shield a lot? that may make it worth while for solo alone as a nice source of mana free damage.

has anyone experimented with Lava Lash much yet? and if so what's the verdict? Trying to decide whether to work that point into my build or not.

I use it when both Stormstrike and shocks are cooling down, and Maelstrom weapon still hasn't been applied 5 times. Don't know if that's worth replacing Windfury on offhand with Flametongue, though.

Well even if your going wf/wf Lava lash is still a extra attack to use in our rotation so by all means is still worth using, and even though off hand damage is cut in half because it is fire damage armor will not negate it, having it will be worth while.
