Are caster pets really as bad as everyone says they are? My first pet was a dragonhawk, and I finally got a wind serpent. But people have told me to avoid caster types. I dont see what is so bad about them. Any comments or suggestions? Thanks.
Any pet you are looking to tame that has a mana bar is bad. That means they are a caster pet. However after the X-pac, and maybe the patch Blizzard is doing away with caster pets. Mana bars on beasts will mean nothing after you tame them.
*edit* They have vastly inferior stats, health, armor, dps all that stuff. Imagine a mage or wearlock trying to beat somethign to death.

Caster pets are going away with the patch so in a few days it won't matter anyway.
