Don't seem to get it. They have ridiculously high armor. They have ridiculously high HP. This is what I try to do on warriors.

Open with Pre-med, Garrote, Hemo, Rupture. Spam Shiv with Deadly Poison, Envenom for 1-2k when I get 5 doses on.

I can do ok on a warrior for about 10 seconds with evasion up. Then it looks like this.

2k damage
2k damage
2k damage
1.7k damage
4k crit

I die. In a span of about 3 seconds. This is with evasion up. I don't really see how i'm supposed to beat that. Can't really vanish because of bleed effects either. I heard it was possible to beat warriors, but I don't really see how.

So, what am I doing wrong?

It's very simple actually.

You're going toe to toe with a high DPS high armor melee class.

The key to beating warriors is usually 5-8 kiting them; this means you stay just out of melee range, but just inside intercept range. Practice it, and practice it a lot. It can be extremele frustrating since some warriors simply seem to intercept you if you're sure you're closer than 8 yards.

Use prep. Use KS whenever its up. Rupture whenever it's down. Try to stay behind them.

if they are mace spec with the stunning mace (god i cant remember the name now) it can be annoying. basically getting rooted/stunned = death. evasion works now, but in WotLK you'll see some overpower builds that can ***** you up hardcore.

so what do you do?
resilience is huge against warriors, they are built around high crit rates, (30-35 % or more for the better geared ones), so you need to reduce that as much as possible.
After that, you need to keep moving fast and hardcore. always keep them crippled with shiv, thats vital. you want to fluster them with stuns and the like, and you want to use a mouse to move to spin around and try to keep behind them. you dont want to trigger parry on a 2h warrior, and behind them they cant overpower you. fortunately their 'stun resistance' is being changed to 'stun reduction'. this sucks for us for not being able to lock them as long, but at least our stuns are guaranteed to go off more frequently. missing a stun can be fatal.

in a 1 on 1 you want to dot them. w/out outside healing you want to stun, gradual dps, deadly poison (since you wont need wound in this case), and wear them down while trying to avoid getting bled. remember that you can vanish while bled and if you can time the ticks well, you can get a quick CS off in the middle.

like all fights, if you can force them to trinket it buys you a lot of breathing room. you can blind, bandage, stealth -> sap, stealth again, and restart the fight with all your diminishing returns reset.

gear is important against a warrior, weapons are very important, and skill fills in the rest.

Evasion + Ghostly Strike = Loldodge

Soak the OP and laugh as all of their other attacks get dodged.

For warriors I'll put on Deadly & Crip. I'll Premed > shadowstep > garrote > shiv > Evasion > 5pt Rupture > Hemo spam > 5pt KS(or Envenom) depending on health differences. Use KS > Sprint to get out of range to let the bleed wear off and restealth if needed or continue beating him down. If he trinket's the KS, blind > bandage and restealth and repeat.

As a night elf one thing I can get away with is vanish > eat > immediate shadowmeld so they don't even see the sitting down and eating animation.

Good luck it's not that difficult. As a shadowstep you still have the other vanish & evasion to save ya if needed.

Edit: spelling

Keep in mind if his gear is far superior then yours it'll take a lot more. But as 1900+atk pwr they should be hurting bad by the time your evasion(s) are finished.

I use my feral druid. Almost as easy to kill a warrior as feral as it is to kill a rogue =D.
