I am thinking:

http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?mage=20350213113120310531223010513020221000000000000000000000221320000000000000000000000000

Get the extra armor, extra resists, extra frost snares and full fire. I am ATM mostly frost with some arcane.

For raiding:

Depending on your gear level various builds may be better for you. For me in T6/SW I will be running 11/50/0 to get focus magic and cast it on another high-crit class (warlock/mage) to then get an additional 3% back as well.

Burning soul should not be as required now for the threat reduction as the creation of threat has been revamped and from what I understand, if the tanks don't suck, you won't need it.

Oh, and by the way, codeplex.com has released a new version of rawr (very nice additions) if you want to check your gear against other cookie-cutter specs setup by our friends at the EJ forums (elitist jerks for those unaware)

Yeah, Removed Burning Soul for more into Burnout.

Just wish the maint was over. The update is done.

This one goes to 80, but I'm all confused at what might be good, so it's worth a shot to test, I guess.

It'd be crazy though if Hot Streak activates, and hitting PoM, two instant cast Pyros?

I sometimes get Hot Streak and have nothing to cast Pyro on nearby. It's definitely a fun ability.

I have not heard many people talk about deep frost for PvP for some reason (at least on my server). Cast water element, frost nova, then deep freeze(5 second stun), lets you get off a 4000+ frost bolt + 1500+ ice lance (depending on gear) + water ele water bolt. Then just another ele freeze and another frost bolt + ice lance = 1 dead ally.

This is without the other insta cast like fire blast or arcane exlposion that you could throw in.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do for my spec (I'm level 61 now). I play solo PvE almost exclusively due to time limitations and have a heavy fire build. I could continue on same path but I keep thinking this might be a good opportunity to try something different, especially something that might improve my survivability. Can any of you frosties suggest a good frost build for solo play. Cheers.

Veena if you're looking at frost I'd probably go for 0/0/52 if you're going for single target levelling (and I think aoe grinding hasn't really been viable for a while - and it's not great for outland).

It includes quite a few mana reduction talents to reduce down time, and brain freeze (instant fireball) as that seems to proc quite a lot and would make for a good finisher (it's mana free so you'll start to regen mana faster). Main focus if this spec is freezing things (survivability) and then critting the hell out of them (remember to do a frostbolt and then icelance straight after on frozen targets for an increased chance to crit with both).

Iffy talents - I picked up Winter's Chill, but not sure how useful it will be in solo play (as there's less time to get it to stack), so you might consider dropping that. I've also taken frost channelling, but if you don't have mana issues I'd drop this for something else.
I've skipped Fingers of Frost becauese I read that it doens't stack with Frostbite, but I'll admit I don't know how that is worked out at the moment, so you might like to pick that up and see if it leads to even more 'frozen' targets and so more crit chance.

Now onto what I was actually planning to post about (I really need to learn to be more concise), I'm currently running a kooky frost/fire spec (0/8/53) with points in World in Flames. Would I be better off putting those 3 points in incinerate for added damage to my brain freeze fireballs? I was surprised at how often BF procced, but haven't got around to testing if it's actually worth casting the fireballs yet, WiF is good for aoe (which is most trash at the moment), but I can't decide which will be better overall for damage.

Edit: Shatter =/= Frostbite
My excuse is that I levelled as an aoe spec so didn't really have experience of either of those talents (and I've still never had a build with Frostbite in).

Thanks Tynuv. The spec looks good. I think I'll take the icy plunge and go frost to try it out. Cheers.
