Changing the balance (gear/enchant check)Follow

My question and problem is the balance between AP/Agility/Stamina. Currently my hunter has around 7400 health and 5500 mana. I constantly get picked on because of my health >< and I am curious to what I can do enchant/socket wise to fix this. Armor wise I know raid and Arena gear is the way to go, but the problems here is a) I am working on restoring my guild to start running raids, and b) I hate PVP so the arena gear is out of the question for me.

Thanks in advance,
Stormscar

Yeah I realize the crop doesn't stack with the whip, but my bank is full and I don't want to toss it lol.

You're not PvPing so why so concerned about your health. The only way you really can get more health, while maintaining your proper stats at a decent level is really through upgrades which would come from raiding, heroics, badge gear, or PvP.

Basically you're at that wall. Either you stay there, or climb over it by raiding or PvP.

And I'll ignore the trinkets.

As long as you do not PvP you don't need more HP.
You can do everything in 5 and 10 man instances with 6-8k HP. So you are fine in that area.
For 25mans you want 10k HP on some/most fights, but that is a buffed value.
If you wanted to do those fights (for which you do not have the gear) you could swap in two pieces of gear with decent STA on it (pvp gear, or some sta trinket) and you are set for these fights.
Actually that is what our mages do in Sunwell against Kalecgos and Felmyst. They are usually running with ~7k hp unbuffed. For some fights they need more HP so they swap in 1-2 pieces of arena gear or a stamina trinket to reach the 10k hp buffed.

Your manapool is also big enough. More mana is nice, but by no means mandatory.
I would not change a single gem towards sta or int or mp5.
If it gives you some comfort: I raid BT and Sunwell (currently 4/6, working on Muru) with 6.5k mana unbuffed and I have no problems maintaining my mana pool at all (I do not switch to AotV more than once or twice a week).
I could raid with 6k mana or perhaps even 5k mana unbuffed. It really does not make a big difference.

Mana and health are the least of your problems while gearing up. The gear generally has all the stam/int you need, no need to socket for it. Your current health/mana is fine.

Thanks for all the answers guys. I am working towards getting into the raids, but it is taking time.

A bit unrelated to the topic at hand, but time is something you don't have very much of. In about a month all raiding and most current gear becomes worthless as the 70 content vanishes in favor of leveling to 80 and doing all the new raids for the new and better gear. There's not really much point in first starting to raid right now.

yeah I am more focusing towards 80 end game at this point. My problem is that I work through the "prime time" of WoW, and by work I mean six days a week. Usually I get home around 11pm server, but more and more its becoming 12-1am server. At that those times most people are offline, and it is a bit harder to trying recruit in those times.

Life sucks, but hey my employer is buying my 27" monitor, and my Wii lol so I can't complain to much.
