well im gonna do a bit of pvp on my druid. he is resto atm and i am having a huge problem with healing and changing forms. there seems to be to many buttons to bind.

I know this is taboo to do but if someone could show me a screen shot and show me there pvp ui it would help me out a ton. also what buttons do you use to shift form?

Im using shift mouse wheel up for cat.. shift middle mouse click for travel.. and shift mouse scrool down for bear.

I bound cat form because you can stealth in arenas at the start and also if you leave combat you can stealth off to get a drink or somthing. heck i really dont know. thats why im hoping to get some good advice.. i have checked out many forums. but non really offer good pvp advice.

Theo's PVP journal/guide/forum thing may be able to help you, I'm not sure as I've never visited it. Worth a shot anyway.

I use my number pad to change forms.

4=bear
5=sea lion
6=cat
+=travel
1=tree(or moonkin)

I use r to become a bird.
I have my most used spells bound to the numbers at the top of the keyboard in spots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. number 7, 8, 9, 0,
-, = are also bound to spells but these are ones i dont cast as often.

This way I dont often have to even move my left hand to play. I got used to using the numberpad for macros in another game and just carried it over to this one.

i am also a southpaw, so my configuration is all jacked compared to most people, but i'll give you my input.

I don't use TOO many binding on my arena setup. i have both bear form and cat form on my keys (6 for bear, and 7 for cat). As arena you might/hopefully have feral charge, which is a great CC, so that should be there.

i have cat there for pretty much the reasons you described, cause i am lazy and want it there to stealth up before the battle starts.

now that i have started i guess i'll just go through my keys, lol

` = healing trinket
1 = pvp trinket
2 = swiftmend
3 = natures swiftness
4 = entangling roots
5 = cyclone
6 = bear
7 = cat
8 = lifebloom
9 = regrowth
0 = rejuvenation
- = nature's grasp
= = healing touch

and lastly i use q for abolish poison.

a lot of the other ones i might use i have on my action bars and just click on them. but for the most part the ones i just posted get me though most of what i ever use. hope that helps a bit

Can't screenshot here and to be honest, I do not use fancy stuff. Just bear (/wink) in mind the following:

- Do NOT clicky if you want to perform at your best
- Only bind abilities you actually use
- Only bind to keys that are close to a-w-s-d or whatever other keys you use for running
- Meaning, use 1,2,3,4,5,q,e,r,t,f,g,z,x,c,v and the shift/alt variations of that... that is a LOT of abilities you can bind there
- If it is still possible: if you only use cat for stealth, then do not bind cat and stealth, just bind stealth and it will automatically shift you to cat first. Same goes for Feral Charge for example. Same goes for being in bear and wanting to regrowth -> just cast regrowth in bear. This means that you cannot use the bear or cat bar, just bind it to other button-squares!

And: practice! throw away abilities you never use or re-evaluate if there is a good use for them but you never use it. If so, start focussing on taking profit of them.

what was said above is good advice. You can use more then just (shift) 1 to =. There's also zxcvfgqer and `.

I personally hardly use 6 or above because it's a long way for one finger to travel. I do however use everything near wasd (or esdf) and include an alt/shift/ctrl modifier for things like focus/target/player targeting. ` (apo..) is binded to travel and <modifier>+` to mounts. Z and X are bear/cat shapes, easy to hit and used quite often.

Then there is of course the option to automaticly change skillbars. With an addon like BT4 (forgot what the abbr. stands for) you can switch multiple bars depending on shape. I have certain skills (like heals) in the same slot on all shapes, so that i can always cast (and auto shift) when i need to. Other things like charge or stealth are only on the bar for bear or cat. This keeps my bars somewhat clean and organised. Then there are some shortcuts for potions and trinkets.

I use Dominos. Have bars for all forms and stealth as well. I don't click but have no mouse either so I keybind everything. The Dominos setup with the main bar is very nice. I use that and have the main abilities used in any given form set to 1-6. Since I am key stroking with 2 hands I use the far numbers for various not often used abilities.

The main point is don't be a clicker and key bind everything you use regularly. The default UI is not as friendly to using the 1-= keys as some add-ons. Just make sure you use a set up that works well for yourself. Ease of use and efficiency of movement is the point of key binding. If you are fat fingering and getting lost amongst our keys then maybe cut back on the number of bound abilities a bit until you get used to not clicking. Add stuff as you get accustomed to key stroking. Clicking is a bad habit.

Does key stroking just sound dirty to anyone else?
