I am currently running a pretty standard combat swords build, but was wondering about the efficiency for specing to GS for use in place of SS. I almost always solo (this toon has grouped once and is now 63). Would the addition of the dodge percentage help keep my down time to a minimum, or do I lose too much DPS going that way?

Down-time as combat has more to do with stun-locking mobs than with dodging anything. Add to this that GS is quite a bit of an investment into Sub that a solid Combat build really can't afford. And, well there ya go. It's good for PvP, but for soloing... not so much imo.

What you can do is spec into Reposte without giving up too many DPS talents in Combat and it's useful for soloing. I used it in my leveling spec to some success. At 63 you're probably in Zanga and Reposte should help with some of the naga there, for example.

Might consider this build at 63.

Good luck

I would probably take a point out of lethality and put it in Relentless strikes. More energy makes combat happy. Aside from that, pretty solid levelling build.

Great, this is almost exactly what I was running with (including the riposte). Appreciate the feedback.

"This has NEVER happened to me before. I don't know WHAT the HELL is wrong with me," he said, weeping into the white sheet. She understood, he's been under a lot of stress lately.

"We'll try again later baby. There, there."
