Nearing Vengeful Weapons...Follow

#1 Oct 06 2008 at 11:40 AM Rating: Decent
So, I'm currently at 1778 2v2 rating with only 13 matches done, and I am at a crossroads... If I buy the vengeful dagger I won't improve my pvp (until 3.0.2, 10/14/08) but if I get the sword or mace I will most likely only use it til 3.0.2 where I am most likely going muti, currently with merc and badge dagger, so I can have 2 103.1 dps daggers or venge/merc maces, anyone have any opinions cuz I'm currently leaning towards the dagger due to the love mutilate is getting in WotLK/3.0.2

And to the effect of this post, will the S4 items be gone when it ends or just lowered as happened in previous seasons.

More info is needed. What comp are you running, what is the rest of your gear like? Do you have 4/5 S4? What are your current weapons?

If you're not running disc/rogue or resto/rogue, mutilate will still not do well in PvP after 3.0.2.

Isn't ShS more common because it works well in more comps than Muti? From what I understand, Muti for PvP is for pretty specific circumstances, no?

I would buy a S3 shanker, but I'd save the rest of your points for your helm. If you plan on doing PvE, pick up a shiv eventually, but it's not needed since you've already got a badge OH if you only do PvP.

What about Spriest/Rogue?

It's harder to run than ShS or HARP.

Better burst capability, which is what the comp is all about.

What you sacrifice is an incredible amount of movement, which is sometimes needed and mandatory in situations.

If you can overcome it, Mut is perfectly viable. HARP and ShS are basically the easier specs that are just as compatible.
