so i recently finished my grind for my S2 shoulders and sterted looking at gems to drop in to it. the red slot was a no-duh +10 AGI gem but I'm wondering if I should slot the yellow slots with the +5 hit +5AGI gems(these are the Gems the Guild JC offered). I'm uncrittable and have like 13-15k HP so I'm not Too worried about health or Def.
I've been doing the reading and from what I've heard the socket bonus is not worth the effort of getting sub par gems just to get the bonus. On the other hand I use these for everything to include PvP and hve very little Resl.

IMO i would put +12 sta. if i remember the socket bonus is +2 resil which would be useless.
+3resil but yeah... good to see that I'm not totally dumb about that.
I agree with you that Defense gems would be pointless. In 8 days (assuming the patch hits on time) defense rating for druids will be entirely moot. Stamina is never a bad thing, nor is agility. If you're happy with your HP, go agility. It's a tiny bit of armor, a bit of dodge, a bit of AP, and a bit of crit. All good things for feral druids.
If you only have 13-15k hp, I'd definitely do the +15 Stam gem. Unless you mean that is your human form health, in which case you're better off with the +10 AGI. If you're already uncrittable, the +res will not do anything for you, so don't worry too much about it.
I'd almost always go with +stamina for tank gear. If you can hit 14-15k+ unbuffed in bear, then you could probably focus the rest on your agility. Personally I think the more hp the merrier, since druids are great at soaking hits anyway. Our huge armor rating and high health are the counter to a paladin/warrior's ability to parry and block.
Locke is correct. I focused on +Sta gems till my unbuffed HP was around 15.5k then I started gemming for Agi.
I think Toskks tank gear list assumes Agi based gems with them being divided between hit/Agi or Agi/Sta depending on slot. I would say go with those if your HP is high enough. If the bonus is something sexy go with an Agi/xxx gem to get the bonus.
While your HP is below 15-16k definitely go Sta, its your friend.
