Question about Nature's GraspFollow

#1 Oct 02 2008 at 12:16 PM Rating: Good
Hello. I know how horribly stupid this is going to sound, but I have been absolutely adamant about not using Nature's Grasp since I got it because it says it has one charge, so I came here to clarify. Is it one charge per fight? Or one charge period? Like I said, horribly stupid question, just had to ask it anyways. Thanks in advance.

It's not 1 charge for the rest of your druid's life. It can be used once every 45 seconds, IIRC.

It means: only 1 enemy can be afflicted by Entangling roots. Not 2, not 3, not more. One 1charge=1 enemy. That's what it is all about.

EDIT: if your enemy is afflicted by ER, the charge is consumed, your target is entangled, and you have to wait for those 45 seconds to pass to get another one.

Thank you very much! I really feel like an idiot now, though ... :P I'll be sure to keep that in mind.

The 1 minute cooldown starts from when you cast it btw. You could cast it, be hit 40 seconds later, then just wait 20 seconds and you can cast another.

Also if using it in PvP and they are immune it will still consume the charge. It is a great tool to use to keep an enemy at bay. It can give just enough time to get away from a would be attacker while on the run.

Natures Grasp is also an excellent leveling talent. I don't have it now but there is a chance I might spec back into it for the leveling grind up to 80 as it can greatly help in those run away moments.

Now that root works indoors, it's also a great tool for if you acidently pull aggro. Mob goes after you, gets rooted, you back away and wait for the tank to grab him.

Is NG going to be simply a skill you learn and not require a talent point? I don't see it listed in the talent trees? It used to be in Balance, but I can't find it...

Thought that was weird when I was playing with the talent calculator. Looked it up and it's a trainable skill now, the full 100% on hit too.
