Hello,
I was looking at the new Jewelcrafting recipes for Wotlk and none look to appealing for me.
I was wondering if it would be a good idea to drop J/C for Mining or Herbalism to get some money together for the expansion, and if it will be good in the expansion.
My other profession is Alchemy.

I you want to get some gold before the xpac one month before the xpac will be released, you shouldn't bother with leveling a gathering professions solely for that purpose. Go grind or do dailies instead!
Do remember that the new profession in WotLK requires Herbalism. You have alchemy as well, so - yeah.
