Rerolling as RogueFollow

My current main is a hunter.
Hunters suck at pvp and it doesnt look very good in WotLK either so I'm restarting WoW at 3.0

I want to PvP, as horde, on a PvP realm.
Basically the complete opposite from what I have now.
Simple questions:

- What is the optimal horde PvP race for a rogue.

- Is combat still levelling tree nr 1?

- I'm generally good with talent trees, but as I dont have much experience with rogues
wich talents look good but suck or look like crap but rock?
(Both for leveling and PvP)

Yeah.... That's about it I think.
Thanks in advance

-Undead

-Level as Combat

-I don't have the time to make a list right now, but I will if someone hasn't by the time I get back. Someone else can probably do a better job than me anyways.

And as always, read the sticky.

EDIT: The Sticky answers every one of your questions.

Aethien, you should know better, especially when I wrote the sticky.

At 55 or so you'll probably want to change to mutilate for leveling, as with the positional requirement gone, it may make for faster leveling.

Though with how much the game has gone towards quest-based exp instead of kill-based exp, you could level as sub if you really wanted to and still level efficiently.

Combat has the most tools for keeping you alive, though.

I dont know how much of an overhaul Rogues get with 3.0 and the sticky is for 2.0.
I do know how outdated the hunter sticky was during tBC before it was updated to 2.0.... more than half wasnt correct anymore.
Thus why I asked, as I dont really like leveling, I would have hated finding out at 80 that I should have rolled a different race and/or that I could have been leveling quicker as another spec. Smiley: tongue

edit: and rejoice, you'll probably see this avatar a lot more here.

edit 2: anyone know wich professions will be best for a pvp rogue in WotLK? not really in a hurry to know but it'll help pick wich gathering profs I'm going to level with :P

Get herbalism and enchanting. Sell herbs for inscriptions, and d/e the green stuff you get and be able to enchant your own gear cheap.

Atleast that whats my rogue have.

#8REDACTED, Posted: Oct 07 2008 at 6:03 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Me after reading about the new expansion. For those who are wanting death knight. Hunters are not going to make good DK's. So I leveled a hunter for no reason. lol I rarely play my 64 hunter anymore do to the fact that its hard to find groups because that class out numbers most classes 5 to 1 or what ever. Hunters can solo very well. But my excitement comes from playing a rogue.

ROFL, he was responding to a post which has subsequently (and rightly so) been sub-defaulted ... Some guy who said he wasted his time rolling a hunter because hunters won't make good death knights (or something equally inane).

Mongoose ... let that be a lesson ... always quote a stupid post ... you never know when it'll disappear ;-D

Sometimes it's great to see them if only for the comedic value :-D

Ok, now I'm feeling stupid ... I always thought you had to be premium to view Sub-default posts ... I'm sure someone mentioned it at some stage, and it stuck in my mind ... curse them !
