I was playin with the talent calculator for my ret pally, and I noticed that the tool tip wasn`t sayin anything about the instant mana return on judgements, did they remove that? I sure hope not.

I looked it up on the main wow forums, seems its a big mumbo jumbo over the blizzard talent calculators, they made lots of mistakes. seems the calulators on wowhead are right on.

The one on the official site doesn't seem to get updated regularly.

I noticed that in the recent (beta) patch, Judgements of the Wise now returns 33% base mana, instead of 20% max. Initially i thought it was a bit of a nerf. But none of our lv 80 gear is going to have intellect on it anyway, right?

i actually hadn't noticed this... if thats true though thats a huge buff to ret since base mana = max mana for a properly geared ret pally. its probably intended to nerf the holy/ret spec since holy's max mana will be about 3 times a ret pally's. 1.5k mana is less OP than 3k was for lvl 80 holy pallies. it'll mean ret pallies will almost want to throw those instant FoLs and consecrate on CD since at this rate we'll be returning more mana than our typical cycle will use.

edit: i just looked at the patch notes on mmo-champion and yes, it looks like its 33% base mana now. buff for ret; nerf for holy... especially since it now takes 15 seconds to get 25% of your mana fron Divine Plea and it now reduces your healing by 100%... oh and good bye instant HL for holy... as if the holy tree hadn't felt weak enough as it was... they have said before that they felt holy pallies had the most hps or something like that. perhaps nerfing their mana regen is to allow for more healing at the expense of shorter endurance... just what i wanted lol. i haven't really tried holy at 80 yet, so i don't know how well our mp5 will be buffed with raid-wide buffs. i suppose the same amount of mana from mana tide totems would do more for a holy pally since we typically have needed less direct mp5. and combined with more mana return from the additional 8% crit in ret.. maybe it really does even out..

only problem with using high crit as a mana regen it's a losing proposition unless you are taking damage and being healed by others.

I used to be holy, for a long raid fight without a shadow priest, you go through 3 mana pots after spamming FOL, for about 6 min. or so. So we do need a bit more help in that department, EX: mana return, or regen. Although it has been a while since I played holy, and I have to active knowledge with holy in WOLTK. But I do see some holes, compared to other classes. Mostly with the mana regen.
