Can any beta players say approximately how long you need to play the DK for before he/she finishes Ebon Hold and comes out into the "real" world?

Thanks!

"How long?" depends on the player and player goals. It can be done in a single session while remaining L55/L56, or you can take a bit more time and wait until you're either at L58 or really close to finishing up. Personally, I prefer the longer amount of time. When I ran my DK through, I went as fast as possible, was L56 when I exited, and it took a long time to get to L58 and the outlands - something I regret.

it is done in a 1-2 hours time almost if u just kill only the nessesery and dont stand and fool around or run around clueless
do all quests u can as it will give u talents and read quest log.

While this is here, do you get gold from the starting quests? And if so, roughly how much would you end up with at the end?

Hideously, hideously broke, at least on beta. I think I left the area with 1g20s, and most of that came from a green staff drop I vendored.

But think about it, you will have to have a (edit)lvl 55 on that server so just mail your DK a few gold when he needs it

I can't remember the rewards besides spells like the mount, but you do get talent points as rewards. Plus you can't get out until you've done all the quests iirc.

Technically it doesn't have to be on the server you make your DK on, so it's not improbable that some people will make them and have no alts to send money from. Even so they'll be in the minority.

technically it does, unless you created a DK and then immediately paid to server transfer it off by itself. Even then there's still a period of time it's on the same server as your 55.

Yeah, that new change sucks. Just pointing out that when I asked above, it was before they said the "Must be on a 55+ character server" rule.
