Aldor or Scryer for enhance ShamanFollow

Any thoughts on which is the best faction to join? Currently I'm a lvl 64 enhancement Shaman.

I went scryers w/ my sham, granted this was back when TBC was "new", and from the "endgame" or I should say final reward point of view from a scryer, the epics was "usable" as least by a sham (dagger/ring)....where as the sword from aldor isn't usable of course by a sham, and the neck was "ok" IMO.

I don't completely regret the choice, and even now after taking 3 other classes to 70....2 of them went scry too (Did aldor w/ my war...just to be different and at least he could use the sword). With the SSO gear out that came much later, neck pieces in particular, I might say I'd choose diffferently if I was to be nit picky. Course, I now think the aldor neck is even more worthless since SSO necks end up being better anyhow...and with that being said...

For the most part IMO the scryer procs on the neck pieces are kinda lack luster (chance on *whatevers* free arcane dmg attack or 100 expert.,etc.), and much rather prefer the straight up stat boosts that the aldor provides. I have heard that in a big picture both provide the "same" dps/hps/etc boost...so maybe my opinion is just a matter of preferance. I still like the aldor version better.

Course, with that understanding...this means that you not only have to max out either aldor or scryer rep, you need to max SSO also...I don't know what your playttime constraints are...needless to say...this takes awhile to do, and who knows...with WLK coming...you might not even need to do this...so this all might be a moot point anyhow.

Frankly epic gear aside, pick the side that fits your professions. Past that if your really thinking "long term" neck piece...Aldor "might" be better, but at least scryer has items you can straight up use once your hit xalted...and by "use" I mean at least you can equip it :P

Aldor has a nice axe from an easy quest that is great for the 66-69ish level range. That was really my only consideration; they seem remarkably unremarkable in their differences besides that.

I went scryer as they have the +13 Hit Rating enchant for shoulders.

Although with the expansion in our near future and it won't really matter, I would say Aldor.
I can't vouch for Scryer, but the shoulder enchants for Aldor seem to fit Enh better. Plus, once you are exalted with SSO, the neck piece has a really nice bonus once you are exalted with Aldor. +300 attack power for 15 or 20 sec that procs quite often has dramatically increased my dps. I belive the Scryer proc throws an extra damaging magical attack or something every once in a while that I have heard has the chance to break CC. Please correct me if I am wrong.
All in all... It is your choice. I have heard it is easier to get Scryer rep than it is to get Aldor, but I just recently started that rep grind on my new level 70 hunter, so I can't tell you this from experience.
Look up both factions and see what they both offer for you before you make up your mind. Your professions might have a lot to do with your decision as well. While it is not impossible to switch, I'm not going to even think about how long it would take for a reverse rep grind.
Good luck in your decision!
