What is the best gear for a level 60 Frost Mage? Do I get the sets or is the gear you get in outland better.

The 60 gear is nice if you are a collector, but with the way the game is, your are better off just pressing on and getting what you find in Outlands. I wouldn't worry too much about the 70 stuff either, it will be replaced in a couple months. However...if you find yourself with plenty of time, a decent set of pvp gear wouldn't be wrong to get.

With that said, I still want the T1-3 stuff because I am a collector.

The stuff in Outland is not only better, but much less time consuming to get. Unless you have a guild interested in running you through Old World Naxx or at least AQ40, there is absolutely, positively, no reason to not just go to Outland for your gearing needs.

Good luck on getting T3. T1 and T2 might be doable, though. Personally, I still want my T1 shoulders. But mostly because I got screwed out of them several times back at 60, and they're all I need to complete a set.

I grabbed a couple of PVP pieces when I hit 60, gloves, boots and staff. I kept the staff and boots till 69/70, gloves went at lvl 65, I think, somewhere close. My guildies told me I should've saved up for lvl 70, but I wanted those pieces, got them, and they really helped me a lot in the outland. I guess it depends on how much PVP you do, but if you have a lot of honor/points saved up, go ahead and spend them, because they're being reset when the expansion hits.

Yeah, people like to try to tell you it's a futile effort to get gear at certain levels because better will come along. If that was true, we'd all run around naked. Better gear will always come along, but that shouldn't stop you from obtaining it if you want it.

What you spent for the lvl 60 stuff would have bought you almost 3 pieces of lvl 70 s2. I also bought some lvl 60 pvp stuff with my rogue but all in all the AH stuff for 5 to 7G was ALMOST as good. In most cases the AH stuff had more STA but slightly less other stats.

At this point thought even if you don't think you will be 70 before outlands you would still be better getting the lvl 70 armor thanks to the wipe blizzard plans (look around you will find the thread about it if you don't all ready know).

MY rogue is in a crappy place right now because of it. I have 23k honor with my rogue. He is about half way through 62 and I really don't play him much. In fact his double exp is prob maxed. HE has 3 EOTS marks 85AV 37WSG and 50ishAB.

As an alliance rogue it took forever to get all but the AV marks since alliance loses pretty much 90% (at least my rogues record). Most of those marks came from lvl 30 to 49, although most honor came from AV 51 to 60. So I am at a point where I don't need the lvl 60 stuff but I can't really afford honor wise the lvl 70 stuff. OF course my luck the weapons at lvl 70 require EOTS marks to purchase. I think thinking of burning my AB points up on the gloves and shoulder as I do have honor for that. Far as my other marks go I don't have enough EOTS to cash them in for honor and I don't really care for the idea of burning them up for potions.

Pisses me off how blizzard is doing us. I think they outta just go ahead and wipe all the gold to so all those non PVP's who laugh at us can get mad also.
