Hey guys what's up.
OVer a year ago, I capped my rogue and didn't play much more. The guild I was in was just starting to run MC and I'm not a huge fan of PvP, I prefer PvE/raiding/instances to be honest.
Well I handed my acct. over to my friend, who played it up to 70, then quit a few months ago.
I'm looking to return to WoW and start hitting most of the stuff I missed since BC came out. I've got a rogue and I just wanted to know what shape he's in and where I Should start. IT looks to me as it's pretty PvP based right now. I haven't logged on to the account in game quite yet but I Guess this is what he's got equipped right now.

Yeah, maybe he was geared to PvP at the moment and he has better PvE gear in the bank or whatever.
Just some questios if you guys don't mind.
1) How should I Get speced to do more PvE
2) What gear should I focus on geting
3) What does it look like I'm geared for now? (instance wise)
4) If I end up deciding to play until the new release, is it even worth working on loot right now? OR should I just wait for WotLK loot..
5) Are rogues still kinda useless in raids?
With all that being said, if I like the game enough I'd be willing to pay for a transfer to a guild that needs a spot. I'd like to start doing Naxx and Kara and all the raids I've missed out on... I don't really care if it's below my level I just wanna see the battles I've missed out on. Which is everything after they released BWL. Wow, I know...
I'd really love to start raiding again when I get a more solid work schedule, I'm gonna need something to do this winter.

5) Rogues are not useless in raids, we provide incredible DPS and we also have Wound poison which is useful for certain encounters. But out high DPS is what makes people bring us.
4) Yes its worth getting gear now, since every piece you get now will help you level faster when Lich King comes out.
3) You're fine for everything up to Kara, maybe ZA if the rest of the group is good.

Welcome back.. um.. maybe ;)
1. Start here. Then go here.
2. For PvE combat builds: Hit > Agi/AP > Crit etc. Shadowpanther has a great list here. But be sure to know why things are listed in the order they are (refer to Elitist Jerks).
3. Seems like in the linked armory that if you regemmed for hit, you would do fine in tier-4 raiding (Kara, Gruuls, Magtheridon) and early bosses in t5.
4. Loot will not be a complete reset for LK as it was for BC. Right now t6 is looking like it will last to 78-80 and early 80 raiding. t4 gear from what I can tell should last up to the mid-late 70s.
5. I am not useless in my raid. Your millage may vary. :P

If your planning to go PvE as your main time-spender, first go combat fists, unless you can find some swords better than the badge fists, which is kinda hard to find in the first place. After that, get the cenarion head enchant. See if you can get your scryer's rep to honored, and get their shoulder enchant. I'd change the 10 stam on chest to +6 all stats, change glove's enchant to +15 agility, and change foot enchant to surefooted. Then get rid of your crit strike gems and replace with hit rating and agility, and ap if you REALLY need it. I'd also change the battlemaster's cruelty to maybe a Bloodlust Brooch (also a badge item). Or if you can hurry before Brewfest ends, you can kill the seasonal boss and get his equivalent to the forementioned trinket (same stats and ability, different name).

Don't use AP gems.
Hit Gems>Hit/AGI Gems>AGI Gems in general. If you want to be sure get a spreadsheet and check it out.
Also don't use Surefooted, AGI to boots, or Cats Swiftness is a much better choice.
Otherwise the above post is spot on as to what you should do.

It's been years, I didn't remember a lot of stuff, sorry to look dumb but it's the internet so lolz i don't give a ****. Thank you to the people the helped.

Yes! Because clearly when the Korean character seller was grinding to 70 he stopped over in Molten Core to get some reputation with the Hydraxian Waterlords.

There are other ways to get Hydraxian Waterlords rep other than Molten Core.

Yes I do remember that post and like a true man I kept to my word. I did quit. The agonizing withdrawals were painful and intense.
