Intensity Talent?Follow

I've been Moonkin / Resto most of my druid life (lvl 66 at the moment), but through odds and ends quest items I've acquired a full set of mediocre melee armor, so think I would like to try out feral spec. I have a question about the talent Intensity - 3/3 generates an instant 10 rage - Is that 10 rage added to the 20 generated over 10 seconds, or does it just give you 10 up front and the remaining 10 over 10 seconds?

As far as I remember, it gives yo instantly.

It gives you 10 rage instantly, then the 20 over 10 seconds.

As far as that talent goes in feral spec, I know that some tanks swear by it, while others think its a waste of talent points (compared to Primal Tenacity atleast). Personally, I've never noticed a difference tanking with or without Intensity.

Intensity is nice when you're in a slack-*** PUG so you have an extra 5 seconds or so for you rage to hit 0 after you Enrage for the pull and some numbskull says, "wait!" (after already having clicked Yes for the readycheck).

Beyond that, there are better options to put 3 talent points into.

i like it just cause i dont see the better options. and for pulling i like going bear hiting it and then fc or what ever and have plenty of rage up front to wack a mole.

I love it for Bear. It is by no means compulsory for tanking, but you learn to love it if you have it in your spec and it is difficult to go back to not having it. I originally had it for the mana re-gen when I used to heal in raids pre-BC as feral spec - DPS on trash & heal on bosses. I got used to having it and find it really painful now if I spec out of it. Happily, the mana re-gen became useful for powershifting as well so the talent worked out to be beneficial. I might have to learn to live without it in WotLK though.

Honestly, there is no need to pick up Intensity. The extra rage it provides makes little difference. The three points you put into Intensity can be better used elsewhere.

I have Intensity in my current build. I like the extra rage. It lets me get off a Maul and a Mangle to start a pull. Or maybe a Swipe and a Mangle.

The extra mana regen is convenient for soloing and lets me heal instances up to a certain point in a pinch.

Either way, I have gotten very used to it and will be sad when I no longer have it. As I don't see having enough points for it in the expansion. I think I have 1 loose point in my tentative tank tree and it goes into IW.

Intensity isn't a big deal but the extra rage is nice. Has helped get snap aggro on Brewfest for the last week or so. As the Friar has said you get used to having it very quickly.
