New Loot Priority on Two-HandersFollow

#1 Sep 26 2008 at 7:31 AM Rating: Good
So I was wondering today how the looting priority will be in Wrath for two handers. I'm sure that there will still be room in raids and general instances for some well-skilled 2 handed Arms Warriors (especially with Blood Frenzy, which is a great raiding talent imo), so do you guys think that the Arms Warriors will be given priority over TG Warriors? I suppose it could be a case of who needs the upgrade more.

Feel free to share your thoughts or opinions.

Well taking to my Pally buddy that raids for our guild as a Ret pally. Rumor has it Ret is 'not valid after WotLK'. Much like Arms raiding Warrior lol will be. Not sure how true that statement is, but he knows his class better than me.

So, thanks to Titan's Grip, I'd honestly imagine Fury Warriors will get choice. There will still be the +agi/crit/etc Hunter weapons... of course they'll get priority over those weapons.

I'd imagine it'll be about the same as it is now for looting. I'm sure there will be Ret Pallies, only difference is now Warriors will want 2 2h weapons lol. I might be wrong. All I know is I'll get the 150 badge axe for starters.

Why even ask the question? If it is an upgrade for your main spec, /roll and whoever wins wins. It doesn't matter what spec you are, as long as you can use it.

At the moment Ret is outdamaging Rogues. That'll be nerfed, I'm sure, but they'll be doing competitive DPS.

Your friend is out of his mind.

Well, you are probably right. I just remember back in Vanilla WoW when Combat Rogues and Fury Warriors began fussing with each other as to who should get priority on particular equipment.

That's what I was trying to explain to him, but he was dead-set on Ret going bye-bye along with the ZA bear mount in WotLK. He said it was leaning more towards PvP, but I have done zero research into Pally in WotLK, so I don't know what's happening to them.

He may be talking about utility as far as other classes bringing similar buffs to raiding. I heard that rogues will now be bringing a similar 3% crit bonus that Ret paladins have brought to raids. Maybe this is part of his friend's perceived belief in Ret's raid viability.

As for the paladin. He could be right or not.

Paladins are generally a support class and a lot about their gameplay works around their support abilities and buffs. It's those buffs and support abilities that make them wanted in raids.

Blizz is making them so that different classes with similar buffs do NOT STACK with each other. They are also making the buffs give the same buff.

I don't know off the top of my head but here's two:
Hunters and Shadowpriests = Mana replenish (JoW).
Warriors Battleshout = Blessing of Might.

Very few support abilities will be left to be paladin-only and it will be perfectly viable to do raids without a single paladin.
