Have a fury warrior apping to my druid's guild, and tbh I'm not sure what to think, as I've never had one in a raid before (that I've paid attention to..) 2h slam warriors, sure, but their dps was always lackluster and they were there mostly for 4% extra melee damage for the rogues/enhancement shaman. So, long story short, here's this warrior's stats. Is he ready for 8/9 BT 5/5 Hyjal, or should I try to send him packing?
2050 ap (before shouts)
35% crit
142 hit
11/11 Expertise
1% haste (lawl?)
700ish armor pen
MH is Talon of the Pheonix (2.7 speed, 96.5 dps, 15 hit, 52 ap, 19 crit) + Executioner
OH is Vanir's Left Fist of Brutality (2.5 speed, 103.0 dps, 21 hit, 23 haste, 44 ap) + Mongoose
Trinkets are DST and Shard of Contempt. No tier set bonuses to speak of, everything seems enchanted properly.
He says he's done 5/9 and 4/5, which tells me he's at least slightly competent. Skills as a player aside, is his gear ready for this content? Will be knocking on Illidan's doorstep this week or next week.

Gear is definitely weak but looks about right if he has no BT/Hyjal gear really. He should have the Badge MH though, not much excuse there.

the double 2.5 speed weapons is for 4 flurry charges, right?
Seems like right gear, i have about the same stats (though a bit less crit) and I raid once a week with a guild that's downed KT and Vashj and are 4/5 MH and 3/9 BT.
Armory would be nice indeed.
I you have him run through the start of BT and MH a few times, he should see some nice up's and it'll be allright I guess.

I apologize in advance for posting on this thread, but as it is of relevance and I didn't want to post a new thread, I figure I'd post here.
My Fury Warrior hit level 70 a month ago. Since that time, I have not been able to do a single thing to upgrade my character. I have tried my best to get gear that goes in accordance to the Gear List: Lvl 70 and Kara Gear Check and thought I was in pretty good shape to do some heroics, normal MrT/Bot/Mech, or even a kara run.
However, that is not the case. I have been told numerous times that Fury Warriors are useless and my gear is woefully outdated and I should be in level 70 gear. When I see people advertising their group is looking for more, I get one of the following responses:
MrT/Bot/Mech/SH (normal): I should be in kara gear
Heroics: I should be in kara gear or better
Kara: Why aren't you a tank?
Raids: I need to be in kara gear or better
After a month of hearing this... I'm starting to wonder what's the point in having a fury tree for warriors? Now I know I should have over 2k AP and a hit rating of 95. But how am I supposed to get that when everything that has upgrades for me I am ineligible to do without having the AP and hit rating? Is it me or is there some sort of ultimate catch 22 going on here? As you can see from my signature, I've retired my fury warrior in favor of a tankadin.
It just seems the only things I can as a level 70 fury warrior right now is normal ramps, blood furnace, durnholde, and dark portal. The way things stand now, I don't see any reason to expect to be able to do any of the current outland endgame stuff until I'm level 80... at which point I won't get any benefit from doing the outland endgame... and probably won't be able to do northrend instances and endgame until I'm level 90.
Does anyone else see something wrong with this picture? The only people that can stomach partying with me for any of the above mentioned activities are my friends... and I'm starting to wonder if that is more out of pity than anything else.
Any advice would be helpful... because I really don't know what I'm doing wrong (aside from trying to play a warrior as something other than a tank). Here is the link to my armory page:

Spec prot, make friends with a tankless guild. Make sure they are in Karazhan but have been farmining forever pugging tanks every week, (they don't need gear) agree with Guild Lead that priority goes to Main Spec. Make sure they all know your Fury at heart, get free epix.

I to struggled with the exact same problem... being fury spec an coming up short of groups for everything, the main reason quoted for 5 man H runs was no CC...
So as the only option left for me to obtain gear was to solo it, I went on a 6 week PvP bender an got totaly equiped in PvP epics...
This was before the release of season 4 gear that made season 2 gear available for honor...
I ended up having to stack a bit of +Hit gems to make my 94 with wep mastery, the cen exp glpyth and equiped the Felsteel knives but my stats ended up being something around the following...
1750 AP

1 week the guild was short a DPS for kara an i got a run... well lets just say after that run i was invited every week after that :)
But it didn't take long to relise that there is not alot of DPS gear droppin for a warr in kara an without BOJ i wasn't gettin into PvE gear an out of my PvP gear in a hurry :(
Not long after the MT for guild moved on an i speced prot lol...

I may need to be corrected here but after lookin at your armory page i notice you have a few AP gems stacked in there when you could have stacked str for more AP, reasons being...
The pally buff BoK won't be as efective as stackin str in there as AP won't scale an str will.
Also I was under the impression that AP scales at a rate of 1 str to 2.2 AP while in ber stance (If I'm wrong here I'm sure others far more knowledgable than I will correct me here)

With the first post about the Fury warrior my armory is Fulgon and I've always placed in the top five in BT and the top 2 in Hyjal with 4/5 hyjal 6/9 BT expereince and seems that other warriors stats are much better than mine
Kiwadiz, STR and AP both gain the same bonus from improved berserker stance. The only difference between the two is kings.
It's become painfully apparent that fury skill > gear to me though. The guy was decent.. but nothing to write home about. Not sure if he was an ebay or what.. because he whirlwinded about 40 times on hyjal trash (all of it.) I'm sitting there, looking at another fury warrior's damage.. and shaking my head. Faiil.

In all honesty, the problem is probably less your character and more the server. I'm on Khaz Modan as well and despite the fact that I'm BT/Sunwell geared, I can't get a group either.
