with 100 seconds, you would expect 66 steady and 49 autos (I'm assuming that your steady shot is below 1.5 right?)

however with 60 steady's you'd expect 44 auto's, which is in line with some of your results, although it should only take 90 seconds.

something is very odd. I still have not been able to recreate it on the beta, so I guess that's good?

For your combat log, not sure what all you need to know so here would be all the steps.

before running wow delete the WoWCombatLog.txt file
run wow
/combatlog will start logging type it again to stop.

then you have two options, one of which is far better.

a) host the file somewhere, and give us a link to get it
b) try and copy and paste a part of it here.

it's in the logs folder.

That's a ping on the LA data center (where the PTRs and my live servers are located). My meter isn't lying. I only live a few miles away from the servers.

When I did Auto Shot only for 2:45, I got 82 shots. It's not too far off from what I get with the Macro.

*shrug* I'm getting tired of testing the same thing over and over. So far, most people see the same results with the macro as they do without. I see a significant increase. To me, that says that the macro isn't dead, it's just not as necessary as it used to be.

Edit: Maybe I'm not as tired as I am stubborn. I did a 1 minute test which should give me 40 Steadies and 30 Autos. With the macro, I got 37/29, which is pretty consistent with what I should get. Without it, I got 37/20. Firing Auto first w/o macro was 37/22.

Something is just screwy.

Pretty much seems that way.

I dream of your ping. Smiley: frown/cry

Do you use quartz? If not, get it, and then watch when your steady's and auto's are actually firing. This might give you some clue as to when your shots are being delayed anyway. my ping to the data center is 60 yet my ping in the game ranges from 100-200. Quartz has a very good latency monitor as well.

I tried using quartz on the PTR but it wasn't working right. Maybe I just need to update it. It usually shows really low latency on the live servers.

Oh, and I turned on Auto Attack/Auto Fire and it "fixed" the problem. My problem with that fix, though, is I keep that turned off to get fast Raptor Strikes if I pull aggro from my pet. I suppose it doesn't matter during raids, but it would be annoying to turn it on and off according to what I'm doing.

What? Raptor strikes are on the next attack. Turning off auto attack shouldn't affect it, you're still only attacking at whatever your weapon speed is. Is there a bug here too? nevermind, you're referring to getting off the first attack really fast, not speeding up repeated raptor strikes right? That is nice, but pets are a bit better at holding aggro in the beta, at least the ferocity ones.

I'm glad to know that it did turn out to be the auto-attack option.

Yeah, it's about getting the Raptor Strike off before the first melee hit.

And I'm glad that it fixed it, too. I'll just have to relay the information on to the other hunters in the guild. I was the only one that did any testing. They're just waiting for the word from me, heh.
