hello guys....i'm a 70 shaman and i never use add on and never play around with the UI. Now that i'm doing raid i need to know what are the best add ons that i can use so i can see all members of the raid and how to make more space in my screen so i can have more visibility while in a fight. I've seen a lot of screen shot where in the action bar are reduce to size hence having more space in the screen...is that an add on or it is a standard in wow UI that i can change...thanks and regards to all

You can reduce the size of the standard UI in the options, I believe (I'll have to check where exactly). A lot of UIs are pretty much just a compendium of addons that others have put together.
Without knowing your spec, the more common addons for raiders are Omen (or whichever type of Threat Meter your raid uses), Deadly Boss Mods (which shows timers and actions of bosses and announces them), Ventrilo (which isn't really an addon but a separate program. But this all really depends on if your guild uses this or in game chat).
As for seeing all members, you can drag the group panes from the raid section of your social bar. If you're a healer, something like Healbot is good to use as you can see all members and set it up where you just have to click on the person's name to heal them.
There's a whole bunch more, but usually the above is the general addons.
Instead of a posting a new thread regaring ADDONS I figured I would just ask here.. .
Theres an addon that I have heard about and t r i e d to download and use, but everytime (thrice) I tried to get a new version and use it says that its out of date.
I unfortunatly cant remember the name of the addon.. but its intended use was to show a numerical countdown of the cooldown for spells. Anyone out there know what Im talking about? If so, where can i get a functioning version?

if its saying your add-on is out of date you can still load it..
when your in the add-on screen where you can enable or dis all the add-ons click the load out of date add-ons button...
if that wont work...then give me a name of the add-on and i will track it down for you
