Cooldown Addon?Follow

Hi, I'm a tank and I'm having alot of trouble seeing my cooldowns. I have devastate, revenge, shield block, etc, set to 1, 2, 3 on my keyboard, but when alot is going on I cant see them out of the corner of my eye. I was just wondering if there was an addon to put some info right in the middle of the screen under my character? Something like roguefocus if anyones tried that, it puts your SS cooldown, 5 points and enemy hp in a little panel that you can reposition. Just something that I could see when those cooldowns are up right in the middle of the screen, I have a 30inch monitor and I almost get eyestrain tryin to keep track of them.

Thanks

the one i use is called OmniCC. it adds numerical cooldowns on top of your skills, so if you get a hotbar mod that allows you to move your buttons around you could feasibly put your main tanking skills on top of your character (or near the middle of the screen, whatever works) so theyre always in easy view. the prob with that lies in clicking on stuff close to you, but with practice you can probably work around it.

alternatively, get used to staring at your hotbar watching cooldowns. thats pretty much what a lot of raid-level tanking involves; you stare at the bar, keep your skills on CD, and if the fight calls for movement you have another member of the raid call it out (preferably with some kind of heads up). i usually relegate my DPS to this job, since the healers are usually busy playing health bar whack-a-mole.

OmniCC is great, it's non-invasive, clear and simple to use and implement. It takes a bit of practice, but if you leave your action bars in the default position (maybe you're using the standard ui bars), you'll be able to follow what's happening with the boss (or whatever you're tanking) AND keep half an eye on the numbers on your action bar ... they show up nice and big, and go red just as they're about to run out.

Another addon I found useful too extent is CooldownTimers2 ... it allows you to list your cooldowns with animated bars, place them anywhere in your field of view, only track specific abilities (if you only wanted to know if SS was up), and it flashes a message at a place on your screen that you decide when the ability comes off cooldown ... very handy imo, and probably the type of thing you're looking for.

As a DPS warrior, I generally watch the action, and wait until "Bloodthirst Available" or "Whirlwind Available" flashes on my screen, and push the relevant button accordingly, never having to look at action bars.
