blizzard either needs to buff totems so that they are even with, the spell resistance of oth buffs. Or give us new totems... at level 70 make a quest that you go through the step of learning how to make a grim totem....

Grim Totem
.5 sec cast
requires earth and fire totem
10% of base mana-------30 sec cooldown

You make a grim totem causeing enemies to run in terror for 7 sec
(totem pulses once, and then falls apart, has no health, and cannot be destroyed,Pulses on creation)

and they cant say we are taking an iconic ability from another class... the idea came from diablo 2 when barbarians made a totem out of the corpse of an enemey...

what do you think...?

I like the idea. Would be good for pvp and a well needed buff. I don't want to say to much as i don't have a lvl 70 shaman yet, but looking towards wotlk we need something. I think you might have nerfed it to much imo, pulsing right when its out could be bad.

Keeping everything you have the cast time and the CD and fear time. But change it so it causes all enemies 2 yards from the totem AND the shaman to run in fear after the shaman next takes damage after placing the totem.

Eg. Lay the totem run away take damage and people near the totem and near you run away in fear.

Smart shamans could play this very very well.
Now to take it even further maybe make the totem invisible, but if you do this while its out the shaman would need a buff like "grim spirit" allowing enemies to know its out there somewhere. This could be a bit OP though....but this really could cause the shaman to be like a shepard forcing people where he wants, IDK we need something to give us a pvp edge and a fearing totem could be it
