Talents
Feral Spirit (Tier 11) is now implemented. Pet skills include :

Bash - Your Spirit Wolves stun the target for 2 sec. (45 sec cooldown)
Twin Howl - Your Spirit Wolves howl, forcing all enemies to attack them for 6 sec. (15 sec cooldown)
Spirit Walk - Removes all movement impairing effects and increases the movement speed of you and your Spirit Wolves by 60% for 15 sec. (25 yd range, 32 sec cooldown) Spirit Hunt - Your Spirit Wolves' attacks heal them and you for 5 sec. (10 sec cooldown)

I don't play a Shaman (atleast not yet ^^) but I think these are good and very needed buffs to Enchancement Shamans. They're going to be a pain in the *** for casters.

Spirit walk seems to be our best snare remover... combined with the new earthbind totem.... could work maricles for us..... much needed and warmly welcomed another great reason to have the pups. But im sure it is only a matter of time before it gets nerfed.... to the cooldown lasting the full duration of the wolves... but who knows...

So wait... we are getting the Ferral ability? or aren't we?

I thought it was canned?

:O I think they rolled it into the pets. I know improved earthbind is still there for enhancement. So really... with the wolves they can remove snares/roots... and move faster for 15s (though 32s cooldown) and then coupled with the earthbind change. I think it might actually be close to balanced. :X Here's to hoping.

yeah its an ability the wolves have... along with the others listed... on a 32 sec cooldown, can be used twice during the duration of the wolves...

but i agree that with earthbind, and this...... could be good... hope for the best... now all we gotta do is figure out a way to talk blizzard into moble totems.... lol but who know maybe that will be in another expantion lol

dont hold your breath

Well only problem with the "balance" is that this is still only affecting one specc of whole class. And the CD on Eb is also there.... Well it's better than nothing but with the information we have now from shaman in wotlk, I'm quite sure my resto will turn into enha and not only for leveling.

it does suck it only effects one spec, but atleast shamans got something useful for once...

32 sec cooldown for spirit walk, and the 15 sec cooldown on Earthbind.... could be better, but it could be worse...

from my point of view anything useful, is welcomed... its about damn time

I certainly would have preferred it to be as they had originally had it, removing all movement impairing effects when switching into GW, but this is nice. As I think more on the earthbind totem effect will benefit your teammates too. If you are in a pre-made bg group and your group actually sticks together, the totem could be useful. Could be helpful in arena. I'm not sure as I haven't tried arena. Of course, that is until a simple macro kills all my totems.

something like totemic call would be call. Where it calls all totems you dropped to appear 1 yard from you. Basically a totem teleport allowing the shammy to be more mobile and click one button instead of 4 when going into a new battle. Theres another post about a totem that fears people which sounds cool also. I think shamans will suck until S5 when Blizz will look and see very very few shamans in the top bracket and then they must admit that shamans need some help.

The new totem talent in Enhancement that took the place of Spectral Transformation is garbage. Pure and simple. Two talent points for one snare removal every ten seconds? I don't care if it can potentially affect teammates. For my talent points that is still garbage.

Take Feral Spirit and make use of Spirit Walk, but I wouldn't waste points on the totem talent.

I swear nobody listens to me, I said this in the Spectral Transformation thread ages ago.

Oh well :)

I agree with Gaudion, although for different reasons. Everyone getting Piercing Howl/Blizzard and walking around in treacle sucks *** and the totem I think *would* be useful in that situation, the problem is the current snare dispel radius is the same as EB, 12 yards. That is completely ridiculous, any Arena team all in 12 yards of the Shaman is asking to get their asses kicked, and since EB also snares the other team it is a primary target for pets and wands.

If the snare break was a pure on-cast Dispel mechanic I'd be totally up for it, "Dropping EB instantly dispels all Snares and Roots on party/raid members and makes anyone in range of the totem immune to these effects". Then I'm with it.

Right now it is yet more half-baked, panic-induced swill.

Tried it in PvP on beta....Earthbind/desnarer is ABSO"SMURFLY" BULLSHIET!!

Wish I could say it was even remotely useful, like it helped me out in a snare situation like once for 2 secs....it doesn't...so I can't.

Without even talking about range classes and snares they use, fact of the matter is that "other" melee classes now have "improved" in your face in a mater of seconds abilities/snares/cc, or ways to be immune OR frankly WAY to much burst dmg!

Lets see..DK, just yankes you away from the totem, Rogues SD/Cloak, War's have the imp imp intercept. (granted overall dps on them needs TONS of work), Ret pally's (something)oF and drop WAY to much burst dmg (4kish+4kish+4kish+4kish was uncomfortablly common, by them...they can kill you before the HoJ stun fades off).

Was using a pre-made 80 shaman in Blues and purples. Played both as a Elem and Enh.

Elem was "fun"...thunderstorm while they might have "fixed" the throwback effect back to 20yrds...I wanna say its bugged because it does NOT constantly "throwback" when used. As far as usefulness I might rate it more akin to doing a warstomp with a faster CD. Its novelty wares fast concidering 20yrs isn't hard for melees to recover quickly from...and thats assuming it even worked!

If anything, I'm glad I have other 70's to fall back on. if shaman goes live as is, its getting mothballed...a sad reaction to the class I solely played for years since the beginging of wow. Way to ..!..ing go Blizz! :)
