I suppose it was going to happen ... I was just hoping they'd buff arms / fury instead of this :

I guess it's alot different in beta but on the ptr my dmg contribution from SS dwarfs my devastate dmg (using dragonstrike). (sword n board rocks my socks)

I suspect they will drop devastate back to 50% again and increase the blockvalue coefficient of SS?

Yup - back at 50% (as of build 8970) ... haven't seen anything on the SS block co-ef though.

Basicly saying they don't want 2-hand or DW prot warriors. They want to make sure prot warriors are using a shield.

That's stupid. The only reason to dw or 2hand is for dps, which for prot warriors is used for soloing, farming, overgeared for content, etc.

The goal is to make it so Prot Warriors are going to want to always use a shield. They've mentioned they're going to buff Shield Slam, too, which means you wouldn't want to ever take it off in favor of DW.

It's not a bad thing.
