Since I hit outland I decided to respecc resto for instancing, and I'm curious what is considered a decent healing bonus for the lvls 63 to say 68.

In all honesty, I don't plan to do much high level healing enchants until I hit 70, as I tend to level somewhat quickly and frankly don't want to spend the Primal Lifes on gear I may be replacing quickly. However, I have been asked a few times what my healing bonus is prior to running an instance, and I just want to know if I should feel it's adequate or not.

Currently I'm 63 and my bonus is 750... I asked one person after they asked what their expectation was and they said they thought it should be 950 to 1000, and that seemed a little high to me for level 63. I mean, I was at 1100 on my druid when I started Kara, so expecting 1000 healing bonus on a level 63 seemed a little steep to me, but maybe I'm just being naive.

So, if anyone could enlighten me I'd appreciate it:-)

I can't swear to it but it sounds like you are in the right zone, 1k +heal at 63 is way to high of an expectation unless maybe you were to manage getting an entire green +heal set. Considering that at 1200+ you can be on a Kara Heal team, you shouldn't need 1k to heal regular stuff.

If you're worried about it, look in the Armory to see if there are any major upgrades that you can get. Really if you can heal an instance without people dying because you can't keep up, then you're doing well.

That seems about right for 63. Heck, you don't even have to respec to resto to heal stuff at that level. I didn't respec until I hit 70, and healed those instances fine. Just as long as you have some healing gear, you should be fine with that amount of bonus heals.

And you're right. Usually to start Kara, you should have about 1100-1300 bh (at least for lower... a tad more for upper). So at your level and the amount you say you have, you're good to go.

Thanks for your responses:-)

I didn't respec my druid until I hit 70, so I wasn't really sure what the healing bonus should be for the 60s, and I couldn't find any info anywhere through research.

I haven't had any troubles healing any instances so far, so I wasn't worried about it on my part at all, mostly just wondering what the common expectation was. I feel completely comfortable healing the instances at my level, but as we all know in PuGs sometimes, people are picky and have to base their pre judgements on numbers. I just wanted to make sure I was up to par:-)

Thanks for setting my mind at ease.
