Allright, SP may melt faces...Follow

But what the hell does that matter when the rest of the Alliance is made up of complete morons?

Typical Arathi Basin match at 3* bracket:

1. Enter AB
2. Buff everyone there with Fort and Shadow Prot.
3. Receive absolutely no buff yourself, except maybe Blessing of Might and Underwater Breathing.
4. Receive 14 whispers consisting roughly of "u heel me kk lol?"
5. You spend the rest of the warmup period banging your head on your keyboard. Possibly strangling your monitor as well.
6. Fight begins.
7. You DoT every damn target in sight, Silence the Horde healer, keep Renew on allies, MB/Flay where appropriate.
8. You watch your teammates completely ignore Horde healers and instead keep attacking whatever target has the most damage reduction.
9. Fear Hordes to keep the flag safe while your teammates are fighting on the GY instead.
10. You finally kill that damn healer but die due to Horde realizing you are a threat.
11. You wait at the GY, but suddenly you are tossed back into the starting location because without you, no one guards the flag.
12. You look at all the "lol lets take BS kk lol?!" messages in chat, while half the raid is in the start location.
13. You lose 2000 - 200.
14. Check the scoreboard, and you rule the damage and healing done (except for the Horde healer).
15. You have 1 Killing Blow (the Horde healer).

Seriously. What the hell is wrong with Alliance BGers? Why the hell do you bother showing up at level 30-33 wearing 20 levels outdated greenies? Why don't you bloody guard the damn flags? Why the hell don't you kill the damn healer? Why can't you sodding understand that I'm Shadow when I'm flaying right left and center? Jesus!

Yes yes, I know. If I specced Holy I might be of better use in a BG. But still, when I do twice the damage of any other Alliance character, do more healing (as Shadow) while keeping the Horde healer Silenced/Feared/Stunned I think I'm allowed to stay Shadow. I think I'm rerolling Horde so I have teammates worth anything beyond a damned Renew once in a while.

That made me giggle, have a rateup.

Of course what you could do is go horde and switch to healing, you'd probably never have to rebuff after you res Smiley: tongue

And that's coming from an Alliance player so no saying I'm flaming you Allies :P

Good to know that its no different in the 30-39 bracket than in the 70 one. Only difference is at the higher brackets, its alot more obvious that you are shadow since you look dark purple. :-)

1/2 the time when I take my pally ( my healer) to AB or EotS everyone leaves me alone as a defender when I should be on the front lines healing, but I refuse to leave a base unattended like everyone else did...

Come hang out with my horde shadow priest north. we will melt faces together. I will even pop out to heal ya :)

But on a more serious note. I think what you may be experiencing is a group of not bad players but "new" players. At level 30 many folks are either on there first character or learning there second. so you will see a big drop in skill/experience.

Rest assured once you ding 70 on a shadow priest you will most likely see a huge upgrade in your teamates skill. Not only that but i have found that priests on a whole get treated very kindly in bg's, well at least compared to my other classes. So once 70 hits you will have healers trippin over themselves to heal ya.

But for now you may have to suffer a bit.

I still stand by my offer. reroll a horde and come pvp with me. Just don't cross the streams.

dont mean to blow up your spot, but you are a venting about the 30s alliance bracket. most 30s allies are new players, most allies are leveling up for 70 raiding. that said, if your gonna twink then run with other twinks...like most hordies do.

if you were here ranting on lvl 70 BGs i would sympathize with you. too many people show up for the big game unprepared. at lvl 30-39, though, most allies are just passing through.

It gets better at 70 (most of the time) players are much better with buffs, tables, healthstones and so on, and to be fair normally you are buffed up to the eyeballs.

Alliance suffer from a lack of healers (on my battlegroup) and when they get healers they don't protect them. Nor do they try and kill Horde healers, Horde however are pretty good at killing Alliance healers, which is made easier by the fact that Alliance don't protect them.

When I got into BG's as Holy (pally)I try my damndest to keep whoever is near me alive because that is what helps to win and many times their /bg Awesome healing, great heals turns into /bg Where's the heals, heal me, HEAL and so on as I am dead. I even have a macro: '/s get them off me!' for when Horde start gibbing me but 8/10 times nothing happens or teh warrior with 10% hp runs over and gets spanked while the 80%hp drood and the 90% hp hunter run off somewhere to hug and kiss or something.

As ret in BG's I try my damndest to keep the healer as safe as I can, and I also pitch in healing (I have come in in no1 heals many times....as ret....) However there is only so much one pally can do to protect the healer when 3-4 Horde are pounding on the healer and I and I never cease to be amazed when the rest of the allys run off after the Horde dude with 30% hp or run off to solo the lumber mill while the healer is getting a new one courtesy of the Horde.

Defence is another issue that Alliance seem to have, sometimes they don't even wait until the flag turns blue before running off to try and cap another. Or you get the complete opposite where you have 7 Ally defending one flag. When a single Horde dude peers around the corner, 6 of them run after him, normally back into a horde ambush while 4 other horde thunder along the other way and decend upon the dude left at the flag.

But you do get better games and better players though there is something about a large proportion of ally players who, just can't do the team or coordination thing.

This is so true and also so funny.

I've had the exact same problem in Ally 70 BG's. We recently moved servers and factions and OMG Horde on my new server are even worse. I swear they just run round in circles and smile politely at the Allys. No one defends, hell no one even attacks. I came in 2 mins from end game and was middle of the DPS charts and high in healing charts.

My hubby is a PvP master and has macros with tactics on, one night in EoS we were lucky enough to get people who listened (well 2 3rds of them anyway) after the 3rd win most peeps where coming straight back in (same names over and over) and following the simple instructions (split off in groups capping first then leaving two at all towers in defence before moving along to next tower/flag) we won 10 EoS in approx 10 mins per game.

A little bit of strategy and co-operation will let you win as most people don't care or listen. We are currently trying to organise some guild runs and I think particularly in the smaller BG's were we will be entirely guildies we will own. Also we will have vent to make the time pass more interestingly.

All I have to say is a-men. I've been doing BG's in the 40-49 bracket recently (my first foray into anything PvP-wise), and this is pretty much true to form. There have been a couple times where we've pulled together and won, but those are seriously outnumbered.

It's a sad day when the healing done alone by my Vampiric Embrace puts me as the highest healer on the Alliance side... aside from being in the top 3-4 Damage dealers... and forget about anyone on defense. 9 times out of 10 I'm the only one guarding the Lumbermill or the Stables while every other person is off getting killed in the road on the way to the Farm or Blacksmith...

this poster proves my point pretty clearly. new to pvp, way way undergeared, and pretty much just passing through. with lack of tactics, skill, and gear this is pretty much a 2-shot from a twink rogue or mage. build a team of 10 of these and you get walked all over repeatedly. dont show up for NASCAR in mom's minivan and QQ that you lost.

the lack of dedicated pvp'ers is what kills it for alliance. build a premade if you want structure and strategy. PUG if you wanna test your own skill at adapting.
