OMG, Nerf Fire?Follow

Been checking out the new specs in Woltk for mages. And omg Fire is OP! Firestarter, requiring 2 talent points, reads:

Your damaging Blast Wave and Dragon's Breaths spells have a 100% chance to make your next Flamestrike spell be instant cast. Lasts 10 sec.

How imba is that? Imagine yourself in a BG, putting on Combustion, blinking infront of a target, casting Dragon's Breath, instant Flamestrike, Blast wave, instant Flamestrike, and then good ol' Fire blast. How much dmg is that?! And you WILL crit at least two of them, with lots of crit and crit dmg bonus specced, plus Combustion!, and then the target with be inflicted with Ignite, damaging as time goes. Of course, once you have done all that you must wait for your CD's to finish, and probably need some mana. But the dmg is insane!


AND, Hot Streak, Requiring 3 talent points, reads:

Any time you score 2 spell crticals in a row using Fireball, Scorch, or Frostfire Bolt, you have a 100% chance the next Pyroblast spell cast within 10 sec will be instant cast.

Omg...with or without combustion, two crits in a row is not hard to get. Nerf fire :P

Yep, and then a warlock gets in his Demon form, a Rogue CloSes, like always, a pala bubbles, other mages Ice BLock (or blink) and a warrior one-shots you with his imba dual 2-handers. Everything will be OP in Wotlk :(

Not to mention if you crit twice in a row, good ol' instant Pyroblast. Some people aren't going to know what hit them.

M, true, although that is only with Fireball, Scorch and Frostfire bolt, but still; stacking up the 'scorch extra fire dmg thing' with combustion, getting two crits in a row and the instant Pyro...Haha, thats too nice

Well, yes other things will be OP too, but i think this is freakin' nice :) Gotta try it

I believe it's bugged. When you try to cast it on another person, it fades off the original, counting as a dispel. And the spell goes boom when it dispels.

Unfortunately, the explosion happens where the mage is standing, so not quite SoC spam equivalent yet.
