Quote:
You link the friendly target with up to two nearby friendly targets, causing 50% of any damage taken to be distributed to the linked targets. If any target takes a blow greater than 30% of their health, or shared damage would reduce the target's health below 20%, the link is broken. A member of the link moving beyond 100 yards or being the target of an effect which breaks on damage will also break the link. You can only have one link active at a time.

Enjoy.

Lots more buffs for Elemental... and nerfs for resto.

Elemental sits at 100% mana at the end of fights... Resto go oom after 3 min.

/facepalm.... /respec

PS: You also forgot that there is now a COOLDOWN on Spirit Link. It can only be cast every 10s. So when it breaks on the first hit (like it does 50% of the time), you can't reapply it. :D REALLY FRIGGIN' STUPID. Way to nerf ... the tree that is the most broken. Oh... and nerf the talent that STILL HASN'T WORKED.

Im gonna give the resto tree a go before I really say were broken.

I know that since there is no more downranking chances are were completely broken without even touching into spirit link.

But its just so hard to say exactly what will happen when you toss spirit link into the picture. Honestly it will cause the tank to take less damage from smaller hits but your transferring damage to another person which means you have to heal 2 targets at once. Chain heal helps that but only to a certain degree.

Im certianly not blown away by the new spell, but like I said, I will give it a chance before I completely go and knock it.

I think you missed the point on this one, lausifer.

Spirit Link's usefulness was already dubious in the minds of all the Resto Shaman on this board, doubly so in PvE. None of us really expected it to do much there. But the one thing we could all agree on is that it would be great for PvP, particularly in 2v2 and 3v3. Not because of the damage reduction, but because of the anti-CC properties. Keeping a team of two or three people CC-free might've made a Resto Shaman potentially worth choosing for a class other than an Arms Warrior or Ret Pally.

Now that the ability is auto-dispelled when a member becomes the victim of Scatter Shot, or Polymorph, or Blind, or any other ability that it would have actually been useful in preventing, it's PvP utility is essentially removed in one fell stroke, and with it, that of Resto Shaman.

There's already no reason to choose a Shaman over a Priest or Druid and possibly even a Pally. Now it's just comical.

What did spirit link do to prevent CC? I don't remember seeing anything and could use a refresher.

Thanks,

Edit: I get it now...if you're CC'd and someone else in the link takes damage, you are unCC'd.
