Hunger for Blood?Follow

I've seen a few level 80 mutilate raiding builds proposed here, and none seem to give much love to the 51 point assassination talent "Hunger for Blood." I am assuming that is because it doesn't seem worth the energy cost?

However, I wonder how exactly does the ability work? Is it usable in stealth - for instance could one "preset" them self with a stack of three before combat begins, let their energy regen, and only worry about the 30 energy cost (15 if you happen to have a harmful effect) once every 30 seconds. That seems to be pretty efficient for a 9 percent increase in damage.

Also, could someone direct me to some discussion on "Cut to the Chase?" I have seen some discussion on rupture and eviscerate potentially being fairly close in their damage capability come WotLK, so I wonder if the talent is also another potentially powerful one (2 combo moves for the price of one)?

"What's Elitist Jerks?"

Anyway, HFB is useable in stealth. No, it's not worth the energy cost. It wasn't worth it even when it was 5% per application. It's definitely not worth it at 3%.

Whether CttC will be a decent raiding talent still remains to be seen. No one's done a whole lot of testing with mutilate on beta in instances, and when they have it's been buggy as hell (i.e. Instant Poison proccing for ~1200 normal, 2000 crit).

Relax. The soonest you'll be raiding is mid-December. Let the cutting edge rogues like myself and others find out what works and what doesn't, and if you read the forums you'll know ASAP.

But really, read EJ.

Elitist Jerks is great - when I can find what I'm looking for. I wish their topics were grouped a little clearer - a 51 page thread is a little daunting. I will start wading through. In the meantime, Theo, I shall take your word for it (standard operating procedure).

Anybody who didn't realize before now that Theo was a pompous *** is obviously recovering from temporary insanity. He's crude, and more often than not (sticky not withstanding), completely unhelpful in his answers.

He does, however, know his ****.

Hey.

Heyheyhey.

I'm unhelpful because there's a completely reliable resource for 99.9% of the questions asked in this forum (beta thread, 3.0.2 thread, PvP forum, and the sticky).

But I'll concede that I'm a pompous ***. It's twue. Smiley: frown

Right. "More often than not" is the key phrase precisely because of those posts. If not for those, you'd be completely (nothing withstanding) unhelpful in your answers!

I agree Theo, and a few others, make this forum what it is. Theo did state he is going to be playing his huntard more in WoTLK though. I hope he doesn't leave the rogue forums.

If so I will just have to fill up his inbox with questions.

MY NEW AVATAR IS WAY BETTER.

Because Entourage > House.

And I'm way more like Ari Gold than Dr. House.

lol theo

is that mythical site sponsered by HBO?

cuz if not.... IMA REPORT YOU TO HBO! THEYLL TOTALLY SUE THE S4 PANTS RIGHT OFF YOUR ROGUE!

OXD

(and ive seen the show too, i actually like house better then what ive seen of entourage.... maybe if i was fully caught up id say otherwise, but i like shows that you dont have to follow to enjoy.... house fits my bill of asshatism to a T)

side note, HFB removes recently bandaged? thats not bad at all

(half joke, not a serious idea)
find big bad mob, get imp gouge, make sure he isnt immune to incapcitate, see if you can bandage damage faster then he deals out between gouges, profit?

omg, might even give the old ****** rogue set bonus of -1 sec gouge CD a use!??!?!

that would be lulz

That site has every episode of Entourage on it. You can start from episode 1. Smiley: tongue

Pretty much every guy (and a lot of the girls I hang out with) say that that's their favorite show on TV.

House gets repetitive. I could predict what was going to be the illness/cure by what time it was when they suggested it.

i dont mind repetitive... i dont watch it enough to really notice/care

and its hard to watch tv on my comp... every time i do, i get ADD, wander thru pages and end up reading manga or playing touhou games

ill keep in mind though if i ever get really bored, and im mad at online vidja games
