Not sure why, but I'm not always getting the full amount of items using the pickpocket macro listed by Theo. I'm not moving either, so don't play me off as and idiot.

I usually end up getting the silver, but not the item. Only got two lockboxes out of it so far.

make sure you have the option "loot automatically" on. Otherwise it might be lag?

Lag. Anything over 200-300ms ping is incredibly unreliable with the pickpocket macro.

If your lag is anywhere over 200ms, you need to learn to pickpocket in 2 steps ... remember to do it .. otherwise you'll find yourself getting into a habit where you never pickpocket .. and for lockpicking, that's not good.

It's not that much work to do it manually anyway. Bind it to a key you don't use a lot but which is somewhat accessible. It's page up for me (though I'm left-handed).

Is there no way to make the macro "wait"?

As in, throw in something in there that will pickpocket, wait .5 seconds, then Cheap Shot?

Edit: I'm already wayyyyyy behind on my lockpicking. Just thought I'd get back into gear and save some lockboxes. Still, I only picked up 2 lockboxes over the course of leveling two levels last night.

Your only other option would be to do a cast sequence macro, but then you would have to hit it twice to get your opener in.

No, that's the deal with macro's.

Think about it, every self-respecting rogue would have a macro looking like this;

/cast cheap shot
/wait 1,5 sec
/cast sinister strike
/wait 1,5 sec
/cast sinister strike
/wait 1,5 sec
/cast kidney shot

My name is Therion, and I approve this message.

I tried this once early on (my first rogue was on a very laggy server) and found it much safer and easier to use 2 buttons before finding out that PP could be combined.

My suggestion is to put them next to each other in the action bar and bind them to adjacent keys (or to mouse buttons) so that each time you're up to a mob it's 1, 2 (or D, F, whatever) and done.

Good luck!

Started using two buttons. Picked up 6 boxes last night. : )

Still, that's only 9 boxes over the course of 3 levels while stealing from every humanoid I possibly can. I guess I have more to do.

To Felwood and Furblog(sp?) rep!

Quite honestly it sounds like the better choice would be to just go to an area with footlockers and pick them. The mobs garuding them tend to be humanoid, so you can try for junkboxes in the process, but the respawn rate on the footlockers will be a lot better than the chance of getting a box of randoms.

Once you are capped the PP macro/PP before opener will be the key to getting you to 70. Your cap only raises 5 points per level so just PP till you reach cap and bank any extras until your next level.
