Pulled my warrior out of retirement a few months ago and decided to take the PvP route with him.

Armory (He's work in progress so forgive the greens)

I went the Stormherald/Mace Spec route for stun procs, and for the heck of it I got a Brutal Earthstorm Diamond on sale for my helm. Prob was I had to socket funny (2 Blues bleh) to get the Stun Bonus.

My question is do most Stormherald/Mace Spec warriors even bother with a Brutal Earthstorm Diamond or do they go for something more Att Pwr/Run Speed oriented?

Waste of a meta.

The +3 weapon damage isn't doing anything because you're using a slow weapon.

The chance to stun target, when it does it will trigger diminishing returns on your uncontrolled stuns. The meta stun is 1s, your mace spec stuns are 3s, your mace proc stuns are 4s. 1s stuns diminishing your other stuns is not good.

The proc chance of the gem stun is 1%. So it's also not that great on a slow weapon. In that socket you could have better stuff, like movement speed or stun resist gems.

Also, you don't need to "socket funny" sooo funny. You can use orange, green and purple gems, the count as 1 gem for each of the 2 colors they fit in.

All makes good sense, rate up!

So from here the question is, which meta? Swift Skyfire comes to mind (Att Pwr/Movement Speed)

I like stun resist so I went for powerful earthstorm diamond (stamina + stun resist).

Some people like second wind more than resisting the stuns. In that case swift skyfire is a very good option.

Blizz is going to change stun resists soon, and instead of having a chance to resist stuns you'll reduce the duration of stuns. After that change I don't know which one would be better. I'd say both options are good.

The snare resist is also a good option for warriors because snares are one of the things that cause the most problems to melee.

Any of those you pick will be a good choice. It's hard to say which would be better than which, think of what you feel you "need most" when in bgs and go with that. I thought I suffer most when stunned too much, so I went for stun resist.
