what are the best talent points to use? also, when you train at the pet trainer, does it automatically go to your pet without having to cast it? and to talent points auto go onto you without casting? i know these questions have probably been answered in these forums, but I don't have time to go through all the pages. any help on making my hunter and pet better would help, and I thank you in advance.
In short no, you receive the training for your level at the pet trainer. You must then train the pet, but the pet must have the needed training points and the right level to receive it. As of the WoTLK pack due out in Nov. The pet trainers will no longer be there, your pet will receive the training for their level as they progress. Best place to check up on things is Petopia , I know there is good info here , but the easiest place to find all about Hunters Pets is there , including all that we will be getting once the Pre-King patch comes live.
And i forgot to say Read the Sticky at the top of the hunters forum it is a must read for any hunter.

*You* learn how to *train your pet* at a pet trainer, and then you go to your Beast Training skill to teach your pet how to use those abilities.
