Icy Veins not working correctly?Follow

So here I am. Level 44 mage. No spell haste. Improved frostbolt.

Rank 1 frostbolt -> 1 sec cast
Icy Veins -> "Hastens your spellcasting, increasing spell casting speed by 20% and....."

1 second - 20% = 0,8 second, right?



So why is my rank 1 frostbolt on a 0,833 cast timer when I've got Icy Veins active? The mind wobbles...


Update: Alright, so I petitioned a GM about it and got an (annoyed) answer; apperantly the game miscalculated the new spellcast duration. The error was simply never removed because 0,033 cast time doesn't make a noticable difference.

Blizz's definition of haste is increasing the number of actions you can do in the same amount of time. Thus, if you spend 5 secs casting 5 frosbolt at normal speed, you would spend 5 secs casting 5*120%=6 frosbolts with icy veins. And 5/6= 8.33

It makes sense when you look at it mathematically, but it's kinda annoying to do all the math. I believe RPZip explained and mathed it all out on WoW General here once.
