I have been wondering this for some time. What is going to go in the ranged slot on the DK char screen? Guns (hopefully) or a system similar to relics and idols?

Relics and such, one starting quest gives you one. It's an activated one so I didn't use it as I had no need to ever blow cooldowns while in the starting area.
